What red dot or prism ?

I want one for specific needs, about 3x to 5x magnification would be the best fit, mounting to a semi auto PCP air rifle - Leshiy2, I need it for fighting close combat :) .
I have a chance to grab one Burris RT-3 Prism, but I have a concern for parallax error also a short 2.5" eye relief. The ER shall be longer then let say 4" or infinity the best.
The other option I am tinkering about a red dot, but again the concerns... the ordinary red dots have no magnification but the Pros are the no limit eye relief also no parallax error.
Back in time 2-3 years ago I had a Sig combo for a short time - Romeo7 and Juliet6, but got rid of them because of warranty issues.
Also, no acog or lpvo, I did try those as well.
What other modest options you can suggest a red dot with mag?

I believe Airgun Archery Fun is in Canada and carries the Immersive Series. Last I checked they did not have the 5x30 Pro in stock but did have the original 5x24 and 5x30 models. @Larcat has used the original 5x30 on a Leshiy2, although he did have a shorter length of pull with the non-REPR regulator and shorter upper air tube, making it easier to deal with the shorter eye relief.

Element Optics is also distributing their own version of the 5x30 Pro, although not in stock anywhere as of recent check.

Original 5x24 and 5x30 have 45mm eye relief.

All of the 5x30 Pro models have 85mm eye relief.

I can't wait to try the Immersive/Hyper series! But the OP said "nothing fancy!" 😜

That's why I mentioned the older models, although they don't meet the ~4" eye relief guideline either.

There are magnifiers with longer eye relief but they are all generally pretty short.

Riton is one 3x magnifier with longer eye relief. I'll see if I can find the others I read about.

Primary Arms has their own line of prism scopes. SLX microprism 3x would be a good fit and comes with several different mounting options to fit your gun. I hear the glass is a little better on the 3x than the 5x. I have the 1x and 3x in the SLX line and the 2x in the GLx line. All of them are small and light for what you get and have great clear glass. Illumination is super bright if you need it. The Immersive Optics prisms have a wide field of view but suffer from short eye relief. I have the 5x24 IO prism and it works well for a woods walking dreamline tact compact.

The problem what I have is with the Leshiy2 when folded.
Just look at these pictures how far the scopes owerhang beyound the mag... I have tried probably over ten scopes or sights to fit there not much luck.
I am carrying the L2 in a hard case all the time not to damage the scopes in a soft backpack... but I want to take it with me now when gravel biking in the bush.

And many more... So far the Holusn and the Sig were the shortest body, but returned both under warranty because of some issues.

For backyard close combat actions some etched tactical reticle would be a best with some magnification...

Hey guys I got pretty emotional lately. Four trees in my backyard taller then my house...

The harvest is in couple weeks, but new hords are coming in half dozens every second third day conquering the teritory that I just swiped yesterday ... Last night between midnight and 4 am I was fighting with a family of five trash pandas those keep coming back right away I closed the rear door...
I need a close combat scope - yesterday :)

I know not an airgun, but I had a similar issue with a top ejecting tactical lever gun I built up. Wanted some magnification, but had to be forward to clear the ejection port. Scout scope ended up working perfectly for this application.

@bigHUN I'm in the same situation as you with finding a scope for the Leshiy2 and my Classics for that matter.

The only low magnification prism I know of with really forgiving eye relief is the Trijicon ACOG TA33. Real world reports of setting up these optics with nearly 6" of eye relief as I recall. Narrow field of view but they are designed to be used with both eyes open which makes target acquisition easier.

Numerous reticle choices and mounting height options. Can often be had for well under MSRP but are still expensive scopes.


Do you happen to have a longer upper air tube and/or plenum installed on your L2? Your pictures with bottle installed make your LOP appear longer.

Scout scopes as mentioned are another option but I can't think of any with what you might consider a tactical reticle. By that I assume you mean some sort of circle or horseshoe with a center dot?

Scout scopes can also have a very narrow field of view but again are meant to be used with both eyes open. I have a Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32 which is considered a Scout scope by some and with its narrow field of view, I really don't care for it for quick target acquisition at close ranges.

Of course there is a scope or sight for every money, but to dedicate to a single task I cannot justify spending a ton for it. I have learned that in a hard way.
I have many high-end scopes for target shooting @ my gun club and just storing that collection is becoming a headache lately.
This what I am looking for a L2 to do some backyard defence is not a high budget priority, if a $100 ish red dot may be capable of doing the job well even for basic bush walking.
Looks like I will pickup an average priced reflex red-dot from amazon and save myself a hassle running around in the stores. In Greater Toronto Area (aka GTA) you can drive around to get sick of it.
Red dot with an option for magnifier, I think this shall work ;(

Edit: yes the REPR made the L2 length of pull longer, so the eye relief and the eye box is much longer beyond the mag now... this is why the common 4" eye relief scopes hanging at the back, those 3" or below is even worse, that was the only reason I sold my IO 14x50 which glass Q I liked very much.

Is that the AIM Sports 2-7x32 or 2-7x42? Or something else?
