What Red Dot scope is your favorite and why.

HS510C ... cheap when you don't need military grade for taking out pests. Shake awake is really handy.

This Ultradot, Matchdot 2 has made my 1701 more enjoyable to shoot than the 2x7 scope I previously had on it. Looked at a few dot sites and wasn't happy with how much parallax they had. This has minimal parallax and with the different dot options, is easy to center in the site, minimalizing any parallax issues. Super clear dots and 11 brightness setting. Although unless it's very sunny out, level 1 is all that's needed.

Hello everyone,

OK the title to this thread is pretty much self explanatory. Please only tell me what Red Dot Scope that you have owned and used and what points makes it stand out. I would also like to know what rifle or pistol you used the Scope with. If you happen to have a really close “second favorite” I would appreciate knowing about that one also.

Fellows, please don’t tell me about a Scope that you have not personally owned and used.

Thank you in advance,
ThomasT

Hello everyone,

Well after a lot of good information given to me here on the Forum ( thanks to all ) and a ton of searching and reading about so many DOT Scopes that are now available, here is what I purchased and the reasons why.

I really wanted the “Shake-Awake” function but could not find one that had all of the specifications that I also wanted.

1) Large Tube style Scope
2) A must have was the DOT Scope must offer both Red and Green Dot.
3) The “Dot “ no larger than a 2 MOA
4) Flip Up Lens Covers
5) A large Objective Lens
6) Excellent Eye Relief
7) Picatinny Mount ( so I can use it on various guns )

Not a top brand name and not expensive but from my initial inspection and first use this DOT Scope meets my requirements. The Scope was designed for high power PB’s, so it should do great on any of my .22 cal air guns.

After zeroing the Scope at 15-Feet and then out to 10-Meters, I set up and shot this full size drawing of a squirrel. That is 5 shots, and to me that equals to 5 dead tree rats 😁 .

Again thanks to everybody that took the time to offer their suggestions for a DOT Scope.
