What rifle?

I have a P3 ..great rifle and very accurate.
I also have a Skout Epoch with the Lothar Walther Bull barrel ..it's accuracy is a bit better
A RAW from Martin Rutterford would also be one of my choices for a BR rifle
If you are serious on getting into BR ..Get a Thomas ..expensive and there is a waiting list

Absolutely would have stayed with the RTI ... for bench. Too heavy in standard or compact for ME and I run & gun with the truck etc. Had the PII with their special barrel in .22 ... no problem dropping anything with slugs or pellets. Seat the pellets or slugs in the magazine and ensure there is enough pressure to push the projectile out the barrel. If I ever go back to bench, RTI! Good Luck, no easy choice and thats a good thing.

Among the casual benchrest shooters at my club (who are serious about precision but don't compete) I've seen the very best accuracy from RAW and Thomas. Since a RAW is half the price of a Thomas, If I had to buy a new one I'd buy the TM RAW from Martin and spend the money saved on extra barrels.

Hi guys! I have quick question. I’m thinking or getting bench rest gun. The ones that caught my eye. Red panda, Mora, skout EPOCH or kx king. I just got a p3 3 months ago and love it. It’s my squirrel gun. From you guys shooting these guns, can you give me the lowdown on pros and cons. Thanks for any info. And Daystate delta wolf.
Hey 79, I know you asked about a certain set of makes but real-life data is your friend and lacks opinion. Hard data can help you make your decisions easier. I'd recommend saving and waiting for a good one.

I looked at all of 2023 3-card N50 scores and sorted by make. I can't think of any other organizations that have this kind of 50 yard data. As expected the top 3 makes were Thomas, FX & RAW.
When sorting I set the lowest score at 745, then sorted by make, counted those, gathered a min of 10 matches or more. Then sorted by how many matches were scored. As you can see more FX rifles were used. Note the X-count and caliber as well. Good shooters too.
Then, sorted by quantity of matches above 745

Number of matches shot. Make. Number of matches above 745.
140, Thomas, 19 above 745
209, FX, 1 above 745
63, RAW, 1 at 745

Good luck no matter where you go.

Crud, I can't load a powerpoint. Here's a screen capture. Sorry its so big
