What rifles would be good choices

There are a number of rifles that will have good accuracy at "long" distance. The usual suspects: RAW, FX, Daystate (non electronic versions). The other variables include rifling type and pellet combination (assuming one is shooting pellets). When you consider this the LW Pylogonal rifling with the new design JSB .25 and .22 pellets is a great combination.

Then the other big factor that comes into play is personal preference. I happen to prefer RAW. Are there better rifles out there? Could be. But what we are used to and prefer play a huge part in choosing a rifle.

All the top end air rifles are more than accurate enough for getting the job done. As always, it comes down to the shooter, and at those longer distances, reading the wind.

Are you considering getting one or just pondering? If you're getting one, have fun wading through all the pros and cons of each rifle. Sometimes that's the best part!

I'll have agree 100% with Chas. I've shot several XFT matches with well know names shooting well known guns and there isn't anyone in particular or any gun in particular that reigns on top.
My RTI will shoot sub 2" groups (smaller than the KZ's @ 100 yards) all day long. But I still miss and when I miss, it ain't the gun.
Whatever you get, get to know your gun and practice, practice, practice both near as well as far targets as often as possible.

From compiling the equipment lists for the matches here in AZ.....

Red Wolfs are often at or near the top.
A certain .30 Impact also has more than one win under it's belt.
Centercut has also had some success with a .30 Bobcat, (pre-liner era Bobcat, so it has an actual barrel).
On the national XFT Grand Prix circuit, I believe the two shooters currently with the highest points are Red Wolf Shooters, .22 to be exact. But a .25 Red Wolf would be up there in the points system too, had Ben not precluded himself from gaining points here at the AZ XFT Grand Prix.

You mentioned a predilection for non-electronic though. Which makes the previous suggestions of a RAW pretty viable. I read where you didn't like the trigger on your Red Wolf so maybe even one of the high powered Brocock's would be an option for you, as they typically have more of a "hunting trigger."

Also, Zx10wall has been having long range success with a juiced up Vulcan 3 .22/700mm barrel and a .30 Kalibrgun Cricket 2 Tac.

I personally use a Veteran Long .22 that has been rebarrelled and I know you like the platform, owning a Standard. I wouldn't recommend a Veteran for XFT though. By design, they're not necessarily high power guns and mine took some work to get it where it is (and I still shoot at 15-20fpe less than the Red Wolf's that are often winning, and I have an even greater power deficit when compared to the .25s and .30s I mentioned above).

Forgot to include the RTI Prophet.

They've been in the top couple of highest scores pretty often too.

Prophet will get the .22 Monster RDs up in the 950+ area straight out of the box. Many other guns need.....massaging to get that kind of power (including the RAW).

Prophet might represent the shortest distance between two points, and at the lowest price, depending on your intended projectile.

RAW .25 mine shoots 33.95 at 910fps stock, very accurate! Would also be very good for 100yd. BR.
Chassis stock would very easily to accessorize for custom fit and discipline’s.
If a guy's chosen caliber is the .25 than sounds like the RAW will get that 34grain pellet hopping pretty good. A couple of friends have .22 RAWs and they shoot the .22 MRDs, and 950+ seems to be a stretch for them in .22, again, without a certain level of......massaging.

That was kinda my point, why struggle with trying to push a .22 when you can easily shoot a 33.95 at a lower fps. With equal to or probably better accuracy and efficiency. I actually backed off my hammer spring to shoot them @ 880fps.
Everybody has a personal favorite pellet for long range. My original contribution in this thread was from the "what has been working for some folks/track record" in xft events, standpoint. So on that line of thought I was mostly thinking of the .22. I've got nothing against the .25/34gr. That decision about .22 vs .25 vs .30 is all part of the discussion about picking a long range pellet gun though.

Well both the wife and I shoot an FX crown in 25 using the MKII pellets...We have done pretty good in Arizona at XFT....It's the wifes first year and she has been in the top 3 or 4 a few times with her crown......I have shot a vulcan, delta wolf, Impact (30 cal) and my crown...I like my crown over all of them....When daytime XFT starts up again at Phoenix Rod and Gun just send me a PM and you are welcome to shoot my crown, but if you are like I am you will have something before than...😎😎😎😎

Thanks for the reply's. I went down to AOA today and came home with a Paradigm in 22. It may have been wiser to get a 25 or a higher energy gun but I wondered if I would shoot it as much as a 22. I didn't shoot it much by the time I got a scope on it and set up. It was getting around 110 out. After getting it on paper and sighting it in. I only shot three more magazines at 45 yards. It shot good. I am anxious to shoot a shot string and see what's what.
