Lots of good scopes out there, and I doubt that anyone will respond who has tried them all! In the mid-level price range I like Sightron. My suggestion, determine your budget and then see what features are offered that best match your needs. It sounds like you are considering spending a lot of money, so you're not going to find junk, just evaluate the features.

I’m hooked on athlon ares, helos or argos first focal plane and this reticle. For me they just do the job very well. Ares 4.5-30x56 helos 6-24x56 or 4-20x50 and if your trying to keep the price down argos 6-24x50
