What scope are you using for competition BR?

AoA has them in stock but I keep a close eye on Yellow Forum classifieds for a deal when I need one. The scope tape is me spending time working in Visio to get stuff right on for my gun.

I haven't even seen yours yet, Salticon. Allen still has it in his shop while he finishes the upgrades to the Steyr. Everything is now done except for the barrel and indexing work so maybe a few weeks.

i have several air rifles setup for benchrest & they have
(2) Weaver 36X
(2) Sightron 36X
(1) Leupold 36X &
(3) Leupold 45X
& a Nikko Sterling Diamond Sportsman 10-50×60 on my one Field target gun

JPS I'm using a Leupold fixed 12x on my FWB . It has a 1moa target dot . I'd love a more high power scope but the loading port on a 300s limits your choices ....PS I LOVE this scope . I just center the 9 ring and if I don't see a new hole I know it's a 10

Joe, I use a Mueller 8-32X40 Target dot. I put a 11mm to picatinny drooper adapter on it which raised the scope enough so I can put my fat fingers in there to load it. Works well for me.

I was always puzzled why army sub MOA Designated marksman rifle uses 10x scope and is good to 600yards.

And why 2-3 and more MOA air rifles are using 30-50x?

One explsnation that I heard is that huge magnification lets use bad scope as hogood sub 100yard rangefinder. Buf for Bench rest? I thought theres planty of time to use laser rangefinder and targets are not moving?

Peole, do you shoot airgun bench rest? If so, what scope do you use, and how are your scores? To answer the OP's question, I use a Weaver 36x target dot on my HV rifle, and a 35x Leupold, with a premiere reticle on my LV gun. Also have a 42x mueller that I will put on my next build, and open class rifle.
