What should be the next power source for airguns

They took the centrifugal machine gun tech and use it to launch rockets. About 35 miles north of where I live...

so the spinning would make a Gyroscopeic effect to insure the cant of the gun would always be perfectly vertical . Matter of fact it might not be possible to hold the gun off 0 degrees cant. ?

I'm not sure. I've never thought about it. If the spinning part acted like a gyro the gun may hold itself plumb. I dunno?

When that big SpinLaunch machine gets going it really rumbles. It's got a HUGE wheel in there. The payload exits at 2x the speed of sound. So it's really cookin....

David took Goliath out with centrifugal force. Seems like you could sling a pellet out there pretty fast.

You couldn't push it down a rifled barrel. It takes pressure for that. Stability would need to be achieved some other way. It's just a glorified dogapult.

R12 air conditioner refrigerant ! WOW the EPA would have a fit !!!
Too expensive . . . per the Montreal Protocol it basically can't be made anymore, so the supply pretty much consists of recovered and reconditioned refrigerant. I think the only legal use anymore is fire suppression in submarines.

It used to be used for all sorts of stuff indiscriminately as it was so cheap - air horns, even chilling and frosting cocktail glasses, and unless the leak in a home or auto AC system was really bad (such that it could not last a season) nobody would fix the units, we'd just dump in more R12. I remember people adding R12 to their cars almost as often as adding motor oil, and I did it myself many times.
