What software do you use for gopro solomo videos?

Yup no problemo,,,,, well it took me a little while to get to terms with resolve again, also never tried to slow things down with it.
also had to DL and install a new version,,,,, of course :)

But it work just fine.

As a treat i recorded it all with the screen recorder in my GFX driver from AMD.

Using " blade " mode in resolve to trim unwanted parts, then delete then by highlight and press DEL on keyboard.
Then select clip, R click select the speed option, i select 10 % here using 240 FPS footage, remember to tag the same things i have or it will not work on the whole clip.
And then i just export the clip after i am done using the quick export, you can also export in a manner where you select what you like.

The video on youtube are 1440p as that is the resolution of my screen i am recording, the output file of resolve are of course the 1080p like the original file used for the demo.

The same gig just using my old power director 17, now out in version 25 or something.
More intuitive to me and my go to video software even if i have other ones too.

Again load file - trim ends of it i do now want, R click on video - go to video speed, and taking that way down to 10 %
also unlink video and audio and then delete audio track.

Then export the final video, just like that ( lean back in chair and snap fingers )

Forgot to say, this is footage from my insta 360 Ace Pro.
Sadly i have destroyed my old Osmo action so i can not try that, but i do remember i could slow its footage down in powerdirector at least.

The OP issue is probably a go pro thing,,,,, not nessesary a bad thing of course but something unique to their products output.

I am sort of amazed a gopro can not record strait to slow mo like my old djo osmo action also could, my new insta well it do have to process the footage after capture, but it happen in camera fairly fast after a recording.

I think some guys want to edit in a way that plays normal speed until the shot happens then plays in Slow Mo to watch the projectile hit the target then play at normal speed again. I am getting into this and looking for software, free preferable as its just a hobby.
I did edit video this way in the GoPro Quik app but in order to save it you must pay for a subscription.

Davinci Resolve can do all of this. And it's free. It's a bit of a steeper learning curve (i.e. compared to Quik), but once you know your basics you can obtain really nice results. So highly recommended if you are willing to invest a bit of your time.

Both Wikipedia and tge company webpage seem to state that the FREE version is NOT capable of handling 240fps:

"The free version works with virtually all 8‑bit video formats at up to 60fps in resolutions as high as Ultra HD 3840 x 2160."*

Would you clarify, please?

Thank you. 👍🏼

it is capable to handle a framerate of 240 fps (or possibly more), but you can only export video in up to 60fps in the free version. Which is plenty enough because a normal frame rate is 24 or 30 fps. If you slow down 240 fps to 30 fps export you have an 8x slomo, which is perfect.

OK, thanks a lot for that clarification! Very helpful. 👍🏼

I think I understand what it means, but I will probably just have to try it out.
One of my next projects, I guess.

you can find some good tutorials on youtube on how to make a good slow motion in davinci resolve (search for how to make a speed ramp, that's in my opinion the nicest way to make a slowmotion effect)

So far so good with that Vlogger software. I have found how to slow it down to 1/32 speed and import and export 120FPS, I have read 240 fps is best for recording pellet flight. So does it make a difference to record in 240 over 120 if the software only imports to 120? If that doesnt matter I can up the resolution at 120fps This is my first slowmo video post, my parallax was l little out of focus and low light. It wasnt playing smooth for me but here goes. Im gonna say lower power for more light and a quality scope will help. This was 80yds 20x, and yes a hit that really didnt phase him
