What springer did you shoot today?

Fixed barrel day for me, .177 56T/H and .177 HW97K long. Kim shot her .22 HW50. The 56 and 97 are fantastic guns. I missed once with each. Missed the numeral “8” on Shoot and C target first time with the 56. Not the second. Missed a little about 1/8” by 1/4” piece of chalk with the 97. Kim cleaned it up for me before I could reload. Love that girl.

Took out two this morning after 3 trailer loads of branches. First up Pro Sport .177

This gun is a reliable gem. This gun has a sweet grain.
Another .177 a Diana 34 premium.

This is an amazing gun. Love the trigger and its ease of use. More rain today, Going to build an ark, no I just bought this.

Today is 397 pumper day, trying to put as many pellets through it as i can , still Rough working but getting better (needs to break in but is proving just how bad i am with irons . the trigger is heavy (more than 5 pounds ) but smooth moving and letting off .

1971 as close as i can figure , i think bought and stored since then , 20cal came over and oiled it and we shot some , last night i ren Balistal throught the barrel , a few patchen then rebalistol and leave sit over night , today about 15 patches till clean .

just re read this, lot of fat finger typing .
I use a stylus. One day your 397 will wake up. Crow
Again only 1 springer but all three are new to my collection so I had to test them all.

You dig up some cool guns. I wish we had pawn shops like you have. When I visit the US I scour the pawn shops. Crow
Pulled out a gun I haven't shot in a few years, a Gamo CFX I converted to a gas ram years ago. Nice smooth shooter and has that unique rotating breech Gamo took from the BSA Superstar. Wasn't hitting my 30yrd can much I think I need to re-sight it in

The lumber on that Pro Sport. Man!

How about the lumber on this. I’m such an idiot.
I’ve cut down close to a thousand trees in my day. I had to get two trimmed, just impossible to get at.

This one is over my gun range. Had a few widow makers on driveway recently, I’m under it shooting.
This one is out front.

There’s a guy in there. Oak tree almost 200 yrs old,
I get a price from the guy and he asks , do you want us to take away branches or cheaper if you clean up. I look at my fire pit 50 ft. away, I’ll buy a scope with my savings. Done
‘First of all there’s a fire ban due to air quality. And so far I’ve spent 6 hrs. moving to the fire pit. Have to rethink it next time. Lost 7 hours of shooting time for a bad decision. Crow

Crazy windy here today, so I had to break out the 22s. Today I tried to shoot my R1 and 95 Field Pro. Best group might have been 1" at 28 yards. Not great but I had to shoot something. It's finally comfortable outside. Unfortunately the shifting and gusting 20 mph wind kind of ruined it for me.

My bother in-law has a tree trimming business. Its not cheap to have a tree trimmed. But I do manage to get some fire wood out of the deal. Well he dumps several load of big ass stumps and logs I cut them up and split. Makes wife happy. We burn wood to supplement heat My big 70 cc saw blew up. Second time. 30 year old saw not. Rebuilding. again So have to buy new saw. ☹️. That 2 Wh air rifles

I have a Husqvarna 451 farm saw as well one of their smallest. Have a lot of Stihl products but like Husky saws.
You’re lucky you get it free, nice.
I’ve got over a cord of Oak and Maple. I’ll sell, and score another scope. Crow
The HW50s 177 got all the attention. Expect I day. I will post with pictures later
You have to love the 50. Shot 2 yesterday, easy. Crow

Nah. Nothing was ruined if you got to shoot those two. The R1 is a beauty.

Today it was a Slavia 618 I just got off ebay because I had a flash of nostalgia from when I last shot one sometime in the early 1960s when I was 13. At the time it was my next step up from my Daisy 25 .
Funny to handle and shoot something so rudimentary after 20 years of HWs, AAs, Walthers and such.
The size and weight or lack thereof was magical though.

I have the Daisy Milbro version of a Diana 230 coming in tomorrow.
Back to the past, when men were men and women were well.. to old for me!
