Northern Maine. Never gets really warm up here, even in summer. The tradeoff is long cold winters. I enjoy the isolation and the beautiful country. So where. Are from.
How far north? Kim is from Moncton, NB. Her mom spends the winters here but we may go up next summer. If we drive we’ll go through Maine.Northern Maine. Never gets really warm up here, even in summer. The tradeoff is long cold winters. I enjoy the isolation and the beautiful country.
Managed to bag half a dozen red squirrels, and my friend got two groundhogs with his .17 hmr Ruger bolt action. Fun day!
I spend much of the summer in Aroostook Country up around Caribou, and the colder months at my house just north of Bangor. My mother was from Hartland NB. Used to spend summers there as a kid. If you're ever up this way, stop and say hello! How far north? Kim is from Moncton, NB. Her mom spends the winters here but we may go up next summer. If we drive we’ll go through Maine.

The thing I like about living this far north, is because of the tough winters, you have to want to live here. Places like this attract independent self sufficient folks, and folks like that tend to be really good people. The marginal folks don't stick around for long. Makes for a great community of people who look out for each other while still respecting people's privacy. Love it here.I used to know a guy that spent ALL his life in Miami Fla . retired to northern Minnesota to 5 acres 12 miles ffrom town , loves it . ME i hate winters too cold too long .
