What springer did you shoot today?

Time to feed the horse and shoot the IMC Pioneer youth rifle a few times.

A interesting read about The Young Pioneers. The gun was used as a youth training rifle.

I added a small piece of fiber optic to aid in shooting

This 97kl .20 was the choose.
Here’s 10 shots in old target. 5 JSB’s and 5 H&N’s. The two lower are H&N’s. I think I could use gravel off my driveway for an round, and still be accurate.
Next HW95 .20. This gun doesn’t have 200 rounds through it and looking promising.

A third out for the afternoon a HW50 .20. Ditto. Again lightly used but performing like a seasoned gun.

Really liking these .20 cals. And great to be shooting again. Crow

shot one pellet to check everything out...than shot this group, the first 10 shots since storage...poi is right on. Used JSB 8.44s @ 25yds off my knee setting in my old rocking chair...This is a good shooting easy to cock gun with a great trigger! Was 94* and humid so not a long shoot...Speaking of shooting, the developing hurricane has me in her cross hairs (Ceder Key) let's hope she "pulls" that shot!

It was 110 degrees today and I think dew point was 78 degrees? Puts heat index around 120 so we didn’t shoot long. EZ Up and swamp cooler made it bearable. HW45 was the only springer. Was actually zeroing and running our new Custom Shop Crosman 1300KTs over the chrono and couldn’t resist pulling the HW out. Love that gun.

Today i took the day off ! just sat on the porch looking at the lake , thinking of all the things i could be doing . i did get a lot of dreaming done .
Dream built a few target stands and a new bench . you can do this when your retired . Nice day ! enjoyed myself .

I am sure you spent enough days working that you could not relax. I certainly did so I too am enjoying retirement.

I put another 50 pellets through the Ruger/Umarex. I tried three different pellets and I had at least one flyer more than three inches from the main group. I am hoping it will eventually settle down and shoot more consistently.
