Nice. So you're giving me an idea with that red dot atop your BMK-19. I may have to adopt that philosophy there air.
I like the red dot. I see better useing one, and target acquisition is quicker. I may not get tiny groups like shooting from bench. But 99% of my shooting is off hand or on sticks.

So today I zeroed my new Diana (Chiana nicknamed) 250 in .22. This is a Chinese made but Germany designed air rifle. My thoughts weren't too high on it. Zeroed it with open sights at 15 yards in 3 shots. Then Sqawky the Squirrel popped up on thr fence about 19 meters away and I said "let's see if these H&N Excite Hammers will fit the bill. Well, the pics speak for themselves.

I can't stress enough if you're looking for a Sub $200 break barrel that hits hard, and if you can get over it not being a Made In Germany product but a Designed in Germany product this can make for a good pester or varminter. Easy to break the barrel, nice stick, easy to acquire fiber optic open sights. Oh, it does comes with a 4x32 Diana scope. I just love open sights really.

I agree my friend. I see you are a HW guy. Been thinking about stepping up and buying a higher end in moat likely .22. Was looking at either a Weihrauch, Beeman or RWS/Diana. What would you suggest? I don't have to have new I can work a pre owned unit as well. Trying to stay, if possible between 3-4 Benjamin's. I have scopes so just the rifle.

I consider all my springers are for the tree rats. Any of the above will work. Right now my flavour is HW97 .20, lethal. 95- R9 is sweet. I like the 98’s. The Diana’s hit harder with amazing accuracy. Good luck. Crow

Yeah I'm thinking about possibly going that route for weight purposes.

Yes it does even this Chiana model. I actually like it so I don't want to sound like I'm poo-pooing it by calling it a Chiana its just not made in Germany. It likes that RWS Superdomes 14.5gr alot. I'm very intrigued with the .20cal and have thought about maybe looking to get a springer in that caliber. But, of course with .20 not being as readily available to walk into any Wally-World to grab a tin if needed kinda gives me hesitation a little. But I hear nothing but great things about it.

today i mostly worked on Ben Titan NP put on new old bushnell scope of unknown model but it's not an air gun scope. I manually adjusted parallax to 50 yards, cleaned barrel, ordered crosman oil for chamber, using crosman premier I was able to at least hit 2" target at 50 yards fairly consistently with premier domed. Scope seems to be holding for now. Then started looking at trigger mod from charlie datuna and arizona air gunners. Have not pulled the trigger on that yet (ha ha) but it will likely happen.

One thing to watch out for in the Benjis is the fiber pivot washers. Mine suddenly started shooting way left. Thought it was the scope. Nope. Called Crosman and they said replace the pivot washers, they often wear flat on one side. Fixed it right up.

Shot FWB 300S and FWB 124 yesterday. Long barrel HW97K today.
