What springer did you shoot today?

Amazing how “normal” weather conditions vary depending where you live. We can get 4.5” in a day here with no issues. But snow like Crow has would paralyze us for days. Septicdeath, hope y’all are good.

Posted this next door also so apologies to those that have already seen. But, was too much fun to not share. Today I was at the local outdoor shop picking up my Diana 45 with its new recoil pad. Excellent gunsmith. One of the employees has a teen son with Downs or similar and he was there. Had my 56 T/H with me and he was fascinated by it. Talked for awhile and showed him how it worked. Went in the shop area where there’s a barrel full of sand and fired a couple shots so he could see how the sled and the ZR mount worked. Put a big old grin on his face. Only two shots I took today. Two of the best shots I’ve ever taken.
We get mini storms, rains stupid hard for 10min. I’m fixing drive for 2 hrs.
And you will always remember. Crow
Beerthief I feel your pain. At our previous address it was one and a half return trip to the shop or hardware. I quickly learned to anticipate what would be required for a job, plumbing, mower repair, water pumps and most other odd jobs around the home.
Nothing upset me more then doing two or three trips to town to fix something.

Gary and Stan, this is what you need. I rarely have to go to hardware. Half as many on other side of bench. Sorry very messy, but saves a lot of time. Crow

Wow and I mean it but Crow I don’t see any irrigation stuff like pipe connectors etc when you have blow outs.
Impressive mate very impressive. Most of my bits and pieces are in jars, some never to be found again😂 until that magic day when you find it.
There is a saying in our house “ if you have lost something you will always find it in the last place you look”

Have both copper and pec. I’m ready. With Crow as a nickname I like shiny parts.
Gary, I’m adopting that line. Thanks Crow

the parts were for the drain pipes under the kitchen sink , unfortunately i didnt notice i had the right shape but with one end the wrong connection type 25 mile trip 3x yikes !

Shot the Gamo Wildcat before the thunderstorm hit. 8 out of 10 hits on 1" target at what I'm calling 50 yards well I measured and it was 40 but still with 8-10 mph winds. I'm surprised how much I like the new hammer 3-9X32 (bright and clear the glass on the hammer and reasonable clicks on adjustment not as crisp as bushnell regarding the adjustment clicks). Asking myself why did I buy a pcp this week.

I know this is not as refined or as pretty as the guns yall are sharing but this is a hunter for sure.

Took 2 beauties out this morning. A balmy 45F. TX200 .22 Shoots as good as it looks. Being warmer is why I grabbed the TX’s. Wearing gloves makes it easier to release the cocking bar.

Even being .22 cal. I still fumbled loading this gun. Shoots as clean as it looks. Air Arms wins my vote best looking springers, present day. As well as this TX Hunter .22. These guns can dance.

Rain and mild, there will be more shooting. Crow

This is at 17 yards. It shoots RWS Basic 7 grain lead pellets at just over 300 fps. When the stars align it will go a couple feet straight up. At ten yards it launches the bottle over three feet. But I have to get up to about every shot. Still to often at 17. Need more bottles and stakes.

If only Weihrauch could make stocks and bluing as good as AA.🥰

Got a new toy, now I can test all my pellets to see which ones my Prosport likes. JTS Dead Center 18.1 are the best so far. But I only tested 3…the JSB 13.4’s were all over the place, and now I know it was because they had a 26.4 fps spread. And I thought it was just me :).View attachment 414007
Sweet rifle they are, it's my new favorite. How is the new Garmin chrony working for ya? That's my next chrony when I get a chance to snag one.👌🏻

I own a bunch of springers and the only one I shoot regularly is an old Crosman 3100 I repaired the broken stock on. So light and easy to cock, shoots 525 fps shot after shot through the ultra accurate cold hammer forged barrel. The trigger has a direct sear which I prefer but they did recall the gun saying it could shoot at any time on safety or not, even though not a single report of it happening. I've tried every way I can to get it to bump fire or otherwise discharge without the trigger being squeezed and it just isn't going to happen. Never read a single owner to this day who has ever experienced an accidental discharge with one yet 50 people who have never held one will say they are dangerous.
Excellent. Need a pic. Crow

Decent looking pistol.
Your target. Is that just a big pop bottle on a metal rod?

Very nice toy. Big time score. Mine likes JSB 15.89. Didn’t test much else. Crow

Afternoon bookend shoot of morning. TX 200 Hunter .177. I resolved my problem with fumbling by cutting more glove away. These guns are so reliable.

And the last 200 is no different. Well yes it is. The Hunter is a little harder to jack. Both accurate. I like the looks of the short barrel on the Hunter.

Just a water standard bottle painted florescent orange. It’s on a 1/4 plastic tree or plant stake. The stake has a little knob on top for hammering in the ground. It holds the bottle on unless it is launched perfectly vertical. The velocity is not quite enough to puncture the bottle at 17 yards.

That’s awesome. We have a couple sets of the Umarex blaster caps. Amazing how much fun you can have with plastic bottles!

They can, they just don’t. I have proof. It’s 40 years old LOL.

Shot this a little today to test out new recoil pad. Really digging this little gun. Smooth shooting and accurate. I love the orange’ish stock color. Shooting AA 8.4 around 820 FPS and 12.5 FPE. Not bad for a 36 year old gun that sat for years. Time for a little pellet testing.

The chrony is super simple to set up and use...even I can do it :). It pairs with the phone app and keeps track of each session, it's easy to add notes in the app to look back on when needed. And it is super light and never misses a shot (so far). It doesn't give down range fps, if that's something important to you.

And I followed what you did with your Prosport...you have some serious skills and I bet yours shoots even sweeter than mine, which is untouched except for a barrel cleaning and a couple of drops of lube on the mechanical moving bits...Cheers!

Thanks. I like to tinker on my three rifles. But yeah It shot fine out of the box, it just seemed a little rougher cocking than I thought it should be.
And I wanted to remove all the factory grease and oil, and just you "one" lube for everything. Now when I cock one of my Weihrauch's I can do it with two fingers..lol. Prosport is pretty stout with the cocking.
