What springer did you shoot today?

I shot 4 air rifles today but only got these pictures. HW50K sight in for hunting. Target was shot out the back window of the garage, standing, off a bulls bag. 3-5 mph variable breeze. I didn't measure it but not much over an inch, I think.

Little more traditional springer later today. HW95 in .22. Still as good an all round springer as I have. This Athlon Talos 3-12 has been on here since I bought this gun last summer. Same model that’s been short-lived on two other guns. Go figure.

Does athlon state the Talos is shockproof for springers? I see a fair number of people use them

Love sling shots. I have to check out that make. The silent killer. 😜 Crow
Bought the original Saunders Falcon on a lark during vacation to Minnesota’s Iron Range when I was 14 years old. Shot it for many years. These are new, Christmas presents. Kim caught on quickly. The Wing is a whole different animal.

Bought the first one from AoA on their recommendation when I bought the HW95. They said it was and I’ve seen posts from others who emailed Athlon and were told all their scopes are springer rated. No issues with this one. And I have another half dozen Athlon scopes that have been flawless. Just the one 3-12 Talos and its replacement that have been carp.

I’ve been looking for years, for an extreme sling shot. You made my day, no year. Happy New Year. Ha ha 👍
Mine are nearby always. I used to make them in my dad’s wood shop in early 60’s.

Closest thing to my springers. I’m stoked, this like getting a R9 .20. Thanks Crow

Been a looong while since I shot my 4/86 D36. This was a $15 Craigslist find back in 2015. It was in pieces but was all there less the main spring and in pretty good shape. It originally had a 19” long barrel that I chopped to carbine length and sent to John in PA to choke and crown. I installed a D48 spring and guide in it and an Apex muzzle weight/brake. Shes wearing a Hammers 4-9x32 scope. She’s a great shooter, very accurate with JSB 10.34 and so, so smooth!

Sent you the link. They have several different models depending on what you’re trying to do. I was stoked to find they’re still around. Family owned, still made in USA. As I recall they made the first wrist-braced slingshot.

I’m very excited today. I had some time and managed to install my vortek pg4 kit including piston seal into my HW30S .177. I was also able to get my 4x Hawke scope on it

I only took about 10 shots after kit install and I cant believe how smooth it is now. I absolutely love it!

I honestly just cant believe I was able to install the kit and not screw anything up. Safety even works. Looking forward to getting my spring compressor setup to do a few more kits

Nice basket job. Score. Crow
HW77 on point.

installed CF shroud and HPM from Hector on my 56 TH today and started testing. Promising, and really interesting to see how much change one o-ring can make. If I can get the trigger more consistent this gun will be dang near perfect. Till I try to shoot it standing LOL.

I know a sucker for thumbholes if you ever get tired of it. Crow

Good for you. Amazing the difference. A perfect rifle. Crow

HW30 is ridiculous. First pic is HW30 5 shots at 13 yds, zerod and parallax adjusted to 30 yds.(top right of yesterdays 40 yd target had no holes) HW30, AA 7.87, leupold 4x28. 2nd pic...I saved the picture from the day I did final pellet testing with the HW30/bushnell trophy 1.75-4 parallax set at 13 yds. 5 shots each pellet, 2 at the bottom 3 at 1/4" dot. All pellet test groups were 5 shots with the first 2 shots of each pellet at the same dot bottom center. No BS. I really want an HW30 with 2" shorter, threaded barrel but.....accuracy is silly good. Man these things are fun.

I'm back in the world of springers on the cheap, and thoroughly enjoying it. This is a little project gun.

Broke away for a few moments just before dark with the FWB300S, some Air Arms 7.87s and a handful of empty 9mm casings. Set up at 35 yards and sniped them all. Fun times. I found this game early on in my airgun adventure back in 2007. This is one of those things that is nostalgic for me. I don’t play/shoot this very often but have some used up brass so I took a ride back in time and shot this again. It was peaceful out when I did this, just me, the crosshairs and the casings.
