What springer did you shoot today?

Crow, this little gun is the best money I have spent. AOA has the silver one last time I looked. I try not to look.
I’ll see what’s around next year as I have already spent the gun money for the year.

I keep thinking a 50 is what I need to go with the 30 and 95, but the 30 fits me so perfectly.
We have one of each. Highly recommend it. Not like Crow. Expect he has one or more of each in every caliber :) . Big brother to the 50 is a great description. More nimble than your 95 for sure. Kim shot her HW30S Deeelux today. I shot my Diana 34. And her 30 a little. It’s a hard gun to resist. Cute little thing ha ha ha.

Today was a German day, HW77 and Falke 90, both .22.

See I was afraid to buy the 50 as my first springer because I knew it would do every thing I need. So I bought the 30 first, then the 95. I can’t decide which I love more.

I ordered a walnut stock for the 95, should be here around Thanksgiving.
We will in the spring what my flavor of the week is.
You should try a 98 to be sure. Crow

At the moment poorly, I haven't found the right pellet for it yet, I've only had it for a couple of weeks
The rectangular device is the scope, the tube is just a mounting tube.

It's a pre WW1 Zeiss GZ II prismatic scope. Like a little periscope.

I've yet to find some proper mounts for it, it's jury rigged at the moment, so that is also a contributing factor to the accuracy, or lack thereof.

Took 4 keepers out 2 nites in a row. 3FC8E65A-05DE-4E0B-AA8F-EBAE77AA6D54.jpeg HW77 .22, TX200 Hunter .177, Hw98 .177 and HW85 .177. Check out length of barrel on 85. Need to be an Orangutan to reach the end to jack. Excellent rifle. 429ADDDC-7C45-499E-9F03-90473D8FF0BA.jpeg
The TX is a bit heavy to cock. Has a grip to grab which makes it easier to release cocking arm. I have a TX, you almost need a pry bar to separate it. The Air Arms are such nice guns to hold.
HW98 is such a gem to shoot. I only wish I could get one in .20. Had on order well over year.
The 77 destroyed the cans. Easy gun, long barrel as well, very easy to jack and of course accurate. Crow

FedEx dropped off 12 tins of H&N Exites 7.4 gr. my HW30 shoots them really well and they cheap.
I shot 250 or so off hand @10m. I was experimenting with the different front sight inserts. I’ve been using the circle for the last while. I switched to the medium post and shrank group sizes. Worked more on my stance and timing the wobble.
I’ll shoot some more in the morning.

The HW30 fits me so well.

50 yards
with my .177 caliber HW77 and HW77K today. A bit windy at times but I was pretty satisfied.

Open Sights with the HW77 and Baracuda FT's
1.09" group. First 3 in the bull and I got nervous!!! Dang this gun shoots well.

HW77K Scoped using FTT's

.65" group with 4 into .37" I had a little wind blowing from the right. I blame that on the one to the left LOL. I was to lazy to adjust my scope up into the bulls eye. ;-)

This gun is very hold sensitive compared to the Long Barrel 77. I am still trying to learn how to shoot it consistently well. Some days are golden and some are a bit rusty.

I took out the HW97 and HW98 today. After a teardown I wanted to sight them in, but the indoor ranges were closed. Unfortunately the wind was blowing 16-23 MPH with a few gusts to 26 MPH. I positioned the truck so the wind was at my back and set up on the tailgate with the targets at 12-13 yards.

Both HWs have ARH UK 12lb kits and are 177. I received a couple of short stroke spacers this week from our cousins across the pond at Tinbum Tuning. The 97's piston seal looked burnt so I also switched it out with a new Maccari SGS seal and added a 8mm spacer to the piston.

The 98 has a Vortek piston seal and was tuned with Krytox. The rifle is very smooth operating and shoots well. I added a 10mm spacer to the piston and the shot cycle seems quicker. I no longer use the factory metal sleeve and the spacer helped quiet any residual noise.

ARH recommends using 7.9 grains with the UK kit, but I've had good results with 8.3 to 10 grains. The Norma FT Heavy 9.1 grain pellets shot well in both rifles and the 98 seems to prefer them with both ARH and Vortek PG4 12lb kits. The 97, like my pup Stella is reliable and eats anything.

Overall, I think TBT's delrin short-stroke spacer is a good addition. My 97 in .20 already shoots very well, but I'm interested to see if it would benefit. TBT advises customers there could be a slight drop in velocity with the spacers so I plan to use the chrony to see how they're shooting. I'm also planning to do some accuracy testing further out when the weather is on my side.
