What springer did you shoot today?

I’ll take your weather any day. 32F right now and dropping. When it’s cold the hardest part is jacking the barrel, grabbing cold steel. I wear a thin leather dress glove on right hand. Nothing on the left I haven’t found anything that I can load pellets with. An hour is about max. time before I have to thaw out. I’m sheltered from wind, but if wind gets through, I just don’t shoot.
I’m now trying to fabricate a skirt around the stable table to hold heat. Not promising.
Seriously thinking of setting up an indoor range for the windy days. Crow
Try some of the fingerless driving gloves. Here is a few ebay and amazon links, I got some for myself and son.

HW50 inside…can’t wait to install the ARH plinkers kit. It’s doing around 11 fpe now and feels a bit unsettled.

On another note…does anyone know of a good aftermarket stock for this gun?

30 degrees, snow and gusty wind again today , so to celebrate, I got out a new baby WyeRoc HW30, the Green Lam HW77K and the Big Bopper HW80. All in .177 caliber.

I just bought the little HW30 for the grand daughter. At least that's the story the wife got LOL. First time shooting it, the dang thing was putting pellets in a dime size hole at 25 yds. Barracuda Greens and FTT's shot almost in the same hole.

The Green HW77 is delightful, and the Big Bopper is addictive. Shooting both of them into several ragged one hole groups even in the gusty winds.

I was to cold and lazy to retrieve the targets and take pictures. ;-)

Cheers

IMHO, the ARH plinkers kit is a great addition to any hw50s. Mine shoots a bit above 9fpe (.177). The shot cycle and accuracy are both outstanding. Easy to cock and great for target shooting. That is also plenty of power for small game hunting out to 30-35 yards.

This stock is fits the hw50s nicely and IMHO is a good value. I’m very happy with mine.

Thanks. My finger tips are the problem. On my trigger hand I wear a very thin dress glove. Left hand I’m going to cut 2 fingers off a glove to try.

I like your muzzle end. I just looked at my Weihrauch’s quick. The only guns that have the flared muzzle end in Canada is the 97. Not 1 other model has it, they look bare. Crow
Can’t help on stock.

Crap weather here as well. You have 3 gems.
I’ve used the grandson angle. He’s got 3 HW30’s and a R7 a few pistols and a Stable table.
The 30’s are like a delayed shot but so accurate.
Thanks for sharing, Crow

My 22 caliber R1. Trying to talk myself out of buying a 22 caliber Hw80 SLK.
Get one Capt!!

That gun literally came out the day after I ordered my 80 a few weeks ago. If I had seen the SLK, I would have one.

BTW, I was shooting mine today and moved my had down about 31/2 inches just to see how hard it would be to rack. Really not bad at all and for a big old boy like you, no sweat. ;-)

Thanks I'm well aware of what the SLK cocking effort would be. I had a 20 caliber K barrel on my terribly oversprung R1. That thing was a bear to rack. I had to take some spring out of it. Turned out that barrel was bad and the only available warranty exchange was the full length barrel. It works fine but as silly as it sounds I just like the looks of the shorter barrels.

I went down the rack in decreasing power order.

22 caliber R1
20 caliber R9
17 caliber Hw95
17 caliber Hw97kSE
17 caliber Hw50
17 caliber Hw30

Shot a few 5 shot groups through each. All still working perfectly. At ten yards in the basement it gets pretty boring when they're all working right 🤣 I'm looking forward to stretching them out during my January trip to my AR home. Hopefully the weather and my work load will allow for some shooting🤞
