What springer did you shoot today?

Sounds like you can sleep in there, is it insulated?
What is this hydro?
You can. Originally he started as a tent platform. Has a lot of amazing tents.
It’s not insulated but it will be. I think he has 30 amps. More than enough. Wicked set up. Crow

Well he had listed hydro and water, so that's why I asked.

He has 30 amps of hydro service in his little digs.

I was told it was for "hydro electric" because much of Canada's power is generated by hydroelectric turbines. They call it "hydro" we call it "power".

I thought they had overhead water lines in Canada for three days until a smart azz engineer had to explain it to me.

Wish we had more hydro. Got too many nukes. Used to have one 5 miles away and 12 on the other side. Crow

97 K on this powder burner day.
Just waiting for my brother in arms, aswell as brother from the same mother.
What a great day so far.

There was some rivalry today with the 98 and 30. I took the 98 hunting and I think it hurt 30’s feelings. So, right before it got dark I gave 30 the chance to express herself. She gave me this 10 shot nickel sized group at 30m and I conceded that I would try to take her hunting next time. The 30 never fails to impress!

The 98 produced the tightest Group overall with a sub 1/2” spread at 30m. However, we had some vertical stringing issues later that were plaguing us. I’m pretty sure my rest was too high for a comfortable hold. I really need to visit the squirrel woods one of these fine days.

Took the. 25 Webley Stingray to the farm. Hung out with 2 of our young adult sons and their friends. Loaned out fishing gear and a light recurve bow with some arrows to fool around. Helped some learning to cast spinning rods. Assisted some shooting the bow. They caught a few fish. One very nice white crappie.
Some went home, others went on a hike. I shot the Webley, fished some, and took some photos.
Beautiful October day in south central Pennsylvania.

Might be a HAWG in that pond, ya never know till ya know.

I shot a few out of this one. It’s new to me and I haven’t put a sight on it yet. More this afternoon I hopeView attachment 503935
Yet another 77, if I didn't know better I'd say you have a "thing" for 77's..lol. Nice rifle, but for some reason those stocks remind me of a fiddle.🤔

Unfortunately, The balance is way off in our pond. Bluegill are so over populated the bass are starved. It's been years since I saw a large bass come out of there. We need to remove about a ton of bluegill. I'll be talking to my brothers this winter about it. Only way I can think of is to draw it down and maybe net them. Drawing it down doesn't drain it completely and it's still going to be difficult to separate and remove so many fish. 4 acre pond. You can close off the inlet from the settling pond but it's also spring fed.
There's a difference between a pond full of fish and a good fishery

I like the 77/97 action and I prefer the old style 77 stocks. I don’t care much for the modern 77 stocks. That’s just me.

The Tyrolean stocks are funky cool looking to me so I went with it. It’s walnut. I plan on refinishing it but I’m sure that idea will sink to the bottom of the priority list. I have too many other things that need to be done and not enough time or $$$ to do them. 🙄🙄🙄

If you know how to throw a cast net you can pull a lot of fish at a time when thrown in the right places. Might be worth try before draining it down. Of course you'll need a boat. You could also talk to the wildlife people to see if they would come out and shock the fish up, then netting them would be easy. Anyway, I've caught several "HAWGS" in my fishing days, from ponds and water reservoirs, a couple close to 10lbs. I don't fish anymore, but it was a fun experience.

It would probably look really good with a oil finish to bring out the grain of the wood. I just assumed it was a beech stock. It would be a good winter project when you're all caught up with house work.
