What springer did you shoot today?

It would probably look really good with an oil finish to bring out the grain of the wood. I just assumed it was a beech stock. It would be a good winter project when you're all caught up with house work.
Yes, something like that is exactly what I was thinking. I’ll fix up some of the checkering too. I hope I can pop that figure in it. It has a faint tiger stripe in it.

spruced up my spinner target for longer range with my HW95 and Peep sights:). It's my happy place.

I had a chance to test some new .177 pellets in the TX200. The Air Arms 7.87, Norma FT Heavies, and H&N Baracuda 8s did well at 50 yards. The TX has a Vortek PG4 12fpe kit and is settling in. I used a Clearidge 3-9x32AO scope for testing but after today I'll probably change to an Optisan CP and start setting it up for different distances.

Don't you hate it when the grass interfers with your swinger's.
I aquired some old traffic signs and I thought it may make a nice floor in my backstop to prevent that.

My range hasn’t had any attention since June. It’s a right off. This drives me crazy looking at it every day.

The pole fell in a wind storm a few months ago. Did very little shooting all summer. But that’s about to change. I’ve started cleanup. There’s 4 months abuse. Crow

Got some free time. Took a Diana 350 mag. .22 cal. Love the trigger. Love the power. Love the accuracy.

This gun pounds.
Also took a HW97 .177. Picking off my bells through a 1 inch hole, 47 yds.

I have 2 97’s .177. Going to tune 1 down to 12 FPE. Crow
Is it advisable to turn a 22 cal. 97 to 12 FPE? Crow

My 97 is about 12.8 FPE and is a laser. Prosport is hammering at 14.9 FPE. I've never shot a .22 low power before? Had a R1 carbine that was about 760fps with 14.66 grain, so that would've been 18.8 FPE, and it shot really well, almost one hole at 20 yards.

Yes. The weather is changing here and its a nice time to straten the range out. The only downside side is going be loosing daylight savings time and an extra hour in the evening. I even considered a squirrel hunt this season. I haven't done that since the early 90's.

been cold here lucky i have a dual fuel system . it has warmed up 5 degrees so far but only a 52 degree day . I am tempted to go an extra 1000 miles on the way home from my daughters house in Campbell CA and stop in AOA /pick up an HW30 in .20 , but no , wife will be in the truck so this is just a dream.
today is going to be Iron Sights day .

I shot the 75 yard Crazy Eights, through four times with the .20 cal 97K. Then when I couldn't see them anymore I danced the plastic bottle till it went out of sight. Then to say good night I left the parting shot into the hanging pot. The last visible target at dusk with a loud report.

A fun shoot shooting as fast as I could cock aim and fire, with my wife cheering me on.
👍
I'll share a somewhat embarrassing pic of the 75 yard range that desperately needs work.

It would be nice if you could get her shooting with you!

She tried but just could not get into shooting , We both got CCl permits when we moved here as we live outside of town , calling the cop's is a joke time wise .
