What springer did you shoot today?

Well this is the start. We got 4 inches and still lightly snowing.View attachment 516698If it snows I’m shooting. 35 F. no wind. How can you go wrong with a fresh start. What I love about the snow. is if you miss your shot. It’s easy to see where. Got the Blues on. You can knock the distant snow on branches. View attachment 516699Started with “180”, my HW90 .25. , machinery at its best. View attachment 516703My first Weihrauch. Went from bad boy to best buddy. What a gun. Here’s 20 shots 35 yds.View attachment 516704only one pull at 10 o’clock. The other shots off target different caliber. Destroying the aluminum.
This HW97 .177 I’m thinking is going to be the candidate for a 12 fp spring. View attachment 516715This gun has spring noise but so accurate. I’m going out shooting. Crow
90 is laying them in there.

This afternoon the snow just kept coming. Shot a HW77 .177.

Also shot a HW97 .20. Can’t beat this 97 with a club. What a gun.

Shortly after I pulled out this gun, the wind picked up and made it uncomfortable throwing snow. Some awesome shooting.
“I’ll be back”. Crow

Yes, Last monday high was 78, this morning Sat low was 29. Yesterday high was 55, windy and cold. Upper 60's predicted next week.

Growing up in NE Louisiana, back in the 50's-60's I remember it getting cold in October and staying relatively cold without the wide swings, At least we could get used to the cold, now it's impossible.
Wide swings here in SE Louisiana this winter.

Morning shoot 29F. snowing little to no wind. Had one of the best of the best guns out. A Walther LGU Varmit .22.

I have a Rowan trigger for it and it’s screeming for a new spring and piston seal. Love to get this gun in a wood stock as well a LGV.
Check this out only 4 shots, ran out of lead. 47 yds. This was a love at first sight gun.

I put an earth magnet in the frame of targets.
IMG_0513.jpeg
I never search for a dime anymore.
Also had time to shoot a R9 .22 after I got more lead.

R9 - HW95, same thing, only different. Flawless gun. Great morning shoot for almost 2 hr. Crow

I like aperature sights, ie, front diopter, especially the plastic ones with a hole that appears to be reamed with what looks like a countersink reamer. It looks like a dark ring floating in a clear field. I like them for targets and plinking, just center the target in the front aperature and shoot.
Unfortunately, the only option is diy. I’m not handy enough to mod a .626”/15.9mm into a .573”/ 14.6mm and I’d like to find someone who is.

New (to me) gun day! Sheridan .20 with a born on date of 1963, from the AGN classifieds. In great condition and born in the same year as me...Chronied 4,5,6,7 pumps: 460, 500, 573, 625 respectively. 5 pumps felt about right and averaged 537. Remarkably accurate out to 20 yards, which is about as far as I can see the bullseye.

LGU is a laser! One thing you won't run out of is the Helix scopes.😂💯✅🔼

Pumper still getting it done after 61 years. Other are nice as well. I've never shot a .20 that I recall.
The best thing about a .20 is that there are 4 pellet options (that I know of). And for me, JSB 13.7 is the clear winner. Grab a gun and a tin, done. That, and they seem to be pretty accurate, even in my hands...

I see you bought the deluxe 30. And how are you liking the Athlon scope so far?
Hello, bustachip:
I have had the HW30 for just over a year now. Yes, it is the Deluxe in .20 cal. I shot it for nine months until the 97K arrived. Then, I shot it for another three weeks while the 97 was back for warranty work. It's a great little rifle.
The Athelon scope is not up to par with its big brother the Athelon 6X24X50, or the Element 6X24X50's in clarity. The focus has some anomalies when you look away from the center. Like the target being in perfect focus at the center, but the other targets off center being out of focus slightly. I need to spend some more time with it. The rifle the scope is on is likley going back for warranty, so maybe I'll stick it on the HW30 for a while.

Send the scope back as well if it's not up to par, they have a lifetime warranty. The 30S is new to me, but I like it so much I ordered one for myself.😝 It's hard to put down, would be a great woods gun, it weighs nothing.

Nice shot at 75 yards. Where do you zero your HW30 at?
30 yards.
The fall from center X down to the point of impact is About 28 inches at 75. The mil dots are terrible and cover a shot shell. I have to use the bottom point, set to 4+X, i changed to a lighter pellet, and still used the bottom,of the crosshair, but I was able to get some better magnification, and visibility.
