What springer did you shoot today?

I mounted my new Sightron 4-12X40 SI G2 on the 97K today, and mounted the 2-7X32 Airmax on my HW30 last night. Zeroed the HW30 at twenty yards today. On the 97K I have the Burris Zee rings and it''s POI is about 2-1/2" left at twenty yards, elevation is pretty good, so I need to try to adjust the windage with the plastic inserts again to get it closer. Shot a few groups, but it gets dark quick..lol. Calling for snow this Friday.

97K is still a laser.🙋🏼‍♂️✌🏻Sunshade on the little Hawke scope makes it look bigger than it is.

Shot one pellet from a new to me HW77. Then decided to clean the barrel. Couldn't get the patch worm cord down the bore past the moderator. Then I used cleaning pellets. The smoke stinks. Didn't know it was new. Maybe it sat a long time and was traded in, because it was billed as used. Have to get rings and maybe a scope. Be Well Brothers, B.

Stick a straw in the moderator and the Parchworm will come right out. Most fast food straws will fit perfectly.

Thanks 20 cal. I had completely forgotten hearing that. It will simplify several gun cleaning chores. Be Well Brothers, B.
If you have Sonic's where you're at they have great straws for that. They just switched to a blue straw that is a tougher material than the old red ones.
👍

I have about an hour of daylight in the afternoons to shoot. Today I took the HW30 out to 40 yards and managed to get two good groups, with a lull in the wind. .216" ctc 5-shot group was the best, with a .372" ctc group coming in second. I had previously been using the Hawke Vantage, which, the eye box is easy to use but the reticle is a little thick for precision target work. Today I have the Hawke Airmax on the HW30, and its eye box is more critical to my eye, using glasses. But once I figured it out, it produced the best groups yet at 40 yards.

Oh, and the AA blue tin 7.87 seems to be the most consistent pellet as of yet. Which is what I used today.

That 97K is in a black stained wood stock isn't it? It appears that way. Be Well, dito.
It's just the lighting, actually, it has blues, grays, and pink, purple hues, depending on the light,

That stock is beautiful. 👍
I shoot that last hour of the day nearly daily. I shoot until I can't see the cross hairs.

I shot the 97K this evening expecting the wind to lay down today, but it toyed with me until the end.
Fortunately, it was mild with calm occasions presenting some great opportunities only to sneak up on you and slam dunk your shot.

In any event, the last time I shot it, I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, after shooting H&N Barracuda's and FTTs. Then it wouldn't shoot the JSB's either. Frustrated I put it away, figuring to clean the barrel. We'll I never did.
I wound up shooting JSB's onto paper to see what it would do.

The first shot was at flyer 4" low 2" left. The next six shots were 6" low off paper but less than a two inch group. 👍
So I started adjusting trying to confirm zero when the wind allowed. I got the gun back dialed in, and went back to shooting shot shells, and CO2 cartridges. My favorite hit was in the south end of a north bound shotshell, right in the primer. 😁
The next project will be trying to figure what happened?

Sounds like it's not sealing, 6" low is a lot.
Thanks on the stock.👊🏻
True but your shy of details. The FTT's that I was shooting are lighter and shoot about that difference in elevation at 75 yards.
I think that the barrel temporarily fouled?

Oh it's 75 yards..lol. Check it at 30 yards. Barrel fouled, breech seal, piston seal. Chrony and see if it's good.

Its good!
With the JSB 13.73's I shot a handfull of shotshells, 2 CO2 cartridges, an inch and a half spinner about a quarter inch from center at 1:30, and the primer in a shotshell end wise. 2 times through the Crazy Eights. The last one with three misses, or 9/12 as I call them. A perfect score on the Crazy Eights is 9/9.
That was all on the 75 yard range with variable winds and intermittent calms.
I will run the chrony on it! 👍
I just have to go back to testing H&N FTT's, and see if the shotgun pattern comes back. 😁
I hope it was a one time event. I was hoping to get better performance from the FTT's than the JSB's
👍

I’m impressed. Love the colour.
Used to refinish furniture 45 yrs. ago. Not my bag. Nice job. Crow

Had a bit of time earlier, a beautiful day in South Florida...Did some pellet testing with my freshly cleaned and Krytox lubed HW50. Still a significant "twang", will have to tune it at some point with a kit. My two TbT kits have been great, but I'm open to other suggestions. The winner so far is the JTS 8.7's. The JBS 7.3's were a close second. Still have some AA and AEA pellets to test. Cheers! Rick
