What springer did you shoot today?

This evening I shot the Webley Vulcan in a wind storm. 😁

Hint: .177's at 75y aren't the best choice for wind storms. 🤔
In any event, I was wondering if I'm just a lucky shot?
My first shot, not remembering if my zero was set at 75 or 30, was more pointed than aimed. So I pointed high in the 75y back stop and fired. I hit the dime sized reset on my Marksman trap. 😮
That meant I was set for 75, but was shooting low.

Because of the wind and the fast approaching darkness, I shot it as is, using the hanging, Ibuprofen bottle at apx 73 yards.

I had a great hit percentage, about 1/3 or so with it swinging hard in the wind.
My favorite miss on the swinging bottle hit the #2 left paddle on the Marksman trap! 😆
Crazy! Fun!
👍

Does the marksman reset by itself?

It has a magnetic bar connected to the dime sized reset paddle in the middle. The quarter sized paddles stick to it when they go down. The reset is pretty tough. At thirty Yards I would shoot the paddles down with my HW 75 pistol, then have to use my Sheridan to reset it.

Can you reset it at 75 yards using your rifles?

I just put it out there and haven't got any real shoot time on it as yet.
A cold front is establishing and the wind has not offered any precision shooting.
I hit the reset by accident with the Vulcan .177, but there wasn't anything to reset, so it went down and came back up easy.

Well, I just answered that question.

It probably took 150 shots though. 😆
I started measuring the wind compensation. 2 moa for the right hand paddle, and 6 moa holdover for the left hand paddle.
I finished it with a dead aim on the reset paddle.
Time for a pellet order!!

Awesome man! That's a good shot in the wind, and it has the power to reset the target.👏🏻
As a bonus there's no snow on the ground.❄️❄️

The Webley isn't going to cut the cake!
I made one hit with it. The only problem is, I was aiming at the CO2 cartridge on top of it. It shot about a three inch group so I'll have to revisit the Vulcan .177 later.

Been over 2 weeks since I shot a rifle. A record for me. But like riding a bike it was easy. Finally, 26 F. no wind, 3 inches of fresh snow. The therapy of shooting.

With fresh snow in the background. You can see where every shot goes. Misses and deflections. I find it to be a huge benift.
First up a HW90 .20. This gun brings nothing but a smile. So accurate, so reliable. Right out of the box.

And next up for morning shoot, a HW77 .25 with a TBT spring. Still has a little buzz. Accuracy is amazing.

I was breaking a person record but a wire from another target in front guards my target, next time.
I ordered a 95 in .25 half a year ago. Can’t wait. Crow

No rear bag?
