What springer did you shoot today?

Out of sight , out of mind, wise move. Crow

Now that’s comfort. Shooting and the Blues usually playing here.
This is the crap I’ve had all day. View attachment 316344 My water was saddle bag warm when I started and frozen solid here. Crow
Looks like the pipe to our sprinkler system. Except your bottle is still intact! Ha ha. Eedjet that installed it didn’t put a valve so You can’t shut supply to sprinkler system off. Been meaning for years to fix and now paying the price. You can forget about finding PVC around here right now. Shut water to the house off at the well but can still turn on when needed. Going to sleeve it tomorrow, plumber comes Monday morning. They’re the only ones with PVC pipe LOL. We can limp along fine for a couple days. Lot of people in worse shape. Crow, who you listening to?

I risked my life by shooting this afternoon. The abominable snowman would have run for cover. But was I prepared,. Check this line up. 5B1AD580-09A9-4B9B-BAE3-01932612D1BB.jpeg New meaning to Black Friday. This is my Black line. LGU Varmint.22, HW97 Blackline Stainless .22, HW50s Black .177 and HW30 .177. All weather ready.
Everyone IMO on this forum should e-mail Walthers and BEG them to bring back the LGU and LGV. My Varmint is one of my favourites. I’m so glad I got this gun. I’ve had a Rowan trigger a while, hopefully I’ll install it soon.
The 50s is so accurate, you miss, your fault.
The 30s I’m leaving with the iron sights and hopefully one day a set of Diopter’s wil crown it.
Merry Christmas Everyone. Crow

Ya ice and pipes don’t mix. When I had the excavator I buried all gas water and Hydro. No worries.
When I’m shooting you might hear. Freddy King, Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green and Otis Span, Clapton, Joe Bonnamossa, BB Chung King and the Buddaheads, Towler Brothers, Muddy, Stan Web and a zillion others that I’m hopelessly hooked on Blues and guitars. Stay safe. Crow
Almost forgot Stevie Ray.

Can’t miss with any of that music either. Freddie King one of my all time favorites. Just a different sound with the finger pick. Great singer Too. Love SRV. Saw him many times from when he was just starting to after he made it big. Maybe the greatest electric blues guitarist ever.

Digging the pic of girls in their little black dresses. I have no doubt the LGU or LGV are fine rifles. I have a Walther Maximathor that shoots as well as anything I’ve ever pulled the trigger on. But, you want to have some fun? Try to find parts or repair for that 5 year old lifetime guaranteed gun. Turned me off ever buying a new product from them.

There you go. Freddie was from Gilmer, TX. Up in jkingrph neck of the woods. He probably got a rifle as a christening gift LOL. Gone too soon. Dunno if I’ll shoot today. Dogs need some play time and I have a Winnie 435 and a Winnie 600 I need to take apart.

BTW, “they” in above post is Umarex. Not sure what happened with the split with USA and parent company in Germany. But, all the spares I’ve bought for that gun I had to get in UK. And parts you flat can’t get. So, it’s the parent company that’s the issue. I posted about it awhile back. I’ll find it. It’s a shame because they’re fine guns.

Not familiar with the Winnie, god luck on the repairs. No shooting yesterday, snow removal. Crow
Back at the P17 at 10 meters today.

When I first looked a target, thinking 4 inch diameter, then the dime appears from my great vision. Nice shooting. Crow
Yesterday was a severe weather day and today is 45 degrees cooler than yesterday. I did get out there on Thursday however and put some trigger time in with the TX200. View attachment 316505
Beautiful grain on the wood. Nice setup. Crow.
No shooting for me for me the next few days, just too cold here. We hit 9 Friday morning when I went out to work, Much warmer this morning at 20, but this is E. Texas, Supposed to be in the low to mid 70's by next Thursday, just cannot begin to acclimate to the cold.
I never imagined Texas getting freezing temperatures. We’re getting pounded with more snow. I hope to shoot today.
A Merry Christmas to all. Crow

Oh yes, I am about 200 miles north of the Gulf coast, so freezing temps are common, although usually not extermely cold, low 20's more the norm. Last year if Feb we had snow, sleet, and freezing temps for a solid week, temp got down to -6F, coldest I have ever seen in the deep south. That one set some long standing records.
Hope everyone has a Merry and safe Christmas.

Crowski, Winchester 435 = Diana 35. This particular one is a 1968 model. The 600 I have is a whole different animal. Brazilian made one rather than Turkish. so no parts available. Probably off to Veradium Air for custom seal job when I get it apart, but we’ll see. Merry Christmas everyone.

Out with these four on a snow day. 81FEDC7B-6B29-431D-B67F-6507C0D6173D.jpeg We got a foot of snow today alone. HW 30 .22, HW 95 .22, HW 98 .22 and a HW 77 .25.
I just love shooting the 30 .22. you can easily watch the shot. Deadly accurate.
And the 95, I wish I could be that reliable, what a solid rifle.
I’ve had this 98 longer than most my rifles. Absolute keeper. It jacks so easy, looks so good, feels good and easy shooter. C42072DF-E8E5-4F41-A855-F653962A41EE.jpeg
Boy the 77 .25 was on the money. I really enjoy shooting this gun. Again you see it fly with snow background. E58E0D77-355E-4E4B-B6B8-D04156840B0C.jpeg. The looping it’s all there. Most enjoyable. Merry Christmas Crow
