What springer did you shoot today?

On a roll today. Over 4 hrs. on the range today. Temps. around freezing. Still on the .20 cal. and this HW95 was no Exception. Accuracy is one of its specialties. View attachment 530021The HW 98 is a hard act to follow. This gun screams accuracy. And it loves a challenge.View attachment 530022These guns make any shooter look good and the HW97 is another no exception. It’s almost hard to miss with these guns. View attachment 530023Just before the curtains came down I shot the last .20 cal. a R9. Ditto. View attachment 530024Every one of these guns were outstanding.
I used to be one of those guys that thought .20 cal. was a waste, didn’t have a good selection of ammo. Etc. Etc. Not any more. Got in over 4 hrs. of shooting. Crow
If you had to choose only "one" would it be the 95 or the 98?, we gottsta know?

Congrats on the hand warmer. Hot! I just took a loaf of whole wheat cherry bread out of my bread machine. Used large dried cherries, some rolled oats, molasses, and some barley with the other ingredients. The oil/shortening was olive oil. It smells and tastes great. Need to get a shower then go downstairs to the range. The bullet trap is noisy but I have a plan including expanding foam in a corner on the backside and a few strips of silicone sealer on some visible places on the back. Think it will slow down the TINK! Be Well Brothers, dito.
I took tubes of silicone sealer and spread it all over the outside and inside to make a dull thud now still a bit loud but no ring .

Splitting hairs. Probably a personal favorite. R9 same deal.
When I ordered the 98 from AoA I had high expectations. My .177 and .22 were both favorites. I thought it was going to make a rabbit disappear. When it came it was the sloppest rifle ever. Almost had a breakdown. After 200 rounds, turned completely around. Wish I could get in .25. Crow

All .20 cal today. First HW30. What a treat to shoot. So easy to follow its travel.View attachment 529873
I jumped to the other end of the spectrum with a HW90. This gun needs no warmup, always ready to go. Hall of fame stuff.View attachment 529857Back down to a HW50. I don’t know what it is but these .20 cal. are in a league of their own, literally. All are accurate.View attachment 529871Shooting JSB’s 13.??.
Last up HW80. I just got this recently second hand. Havn’t shot it a lot. But noticed today everything is stamped not embossed. Score View attachment 529874This gun absolutely blew me away. What a sweetheart. View attachment 529881Mercyless on the targets. Crow
I like looking at some of your backgrounds, trees, lake, snow as much as the guns, absolutely beautiful!

No shooting for me today and probably all of next week. Today was overcast, humid, windy and cold for here, but mild as to what is to come in a few days, I think next Monday-Tuesday we are to hit the teens at night and one or two days right at or slightly below freezing, Too cold for an old southern boy.

I had thought about shooting a little today, but had car problems My wife went out started it and went to her hairdresser's about 15-18 miles away and came home no problem. We had planned on going out to a veterans luncheon but went out and the car started then when I backed out on the street it started sputtering and would not run. It had gone uphill a little so I let it roll back down across an intersection next to the house and parked it and had it towed in. For years the dealer had been taking care of it but now when I called them, they said they did not work on cars over ten years old. What had been a locally owned dealership had sold out to someone from out of town. I thought it strange because they had worked on my truck just last month, which also is over ten years old. Anyway they lost my loyalty. I had it towed to an independent, who when I described what was happening said it was most probably one of two things, neither serious, just annoying . Anyway he is a little backed up and it will probably be early next week before it gets repaired.

It’s gorgeous up here at this time of year.
This I dug out, was to be my gun range. 12 ft. high limestone. Springs pushing water out and freezing. I park my car and trailers here. I have excellent drinking water here.

You can’t beat any of the 4 seasons.

Easy on the eyes. Bass Musky and Walleye. Been up here 35 yrs. Lived here for 7. When I started airguns.
Guys were out last week to where the black is, past the island, only the black was water. ice fishing. Can’t imagine any fish tasting that good to risk your life. Dangerous lake.
Not many people here this time of year. Crow

Sounds like a great time of year, Crowski. Fewer people to aggravate you. Maybe even find a fellow airgun shooter! That would be sweet. Especially if you both have extensive ranges. I know my best bud is a ways away but he let's me shoot anything I own, pellets or PBs, about any time. Just have to go pellets only during his KC CHEFS football games. I hope he sees this! Good Shootin' Brothers, Bandito.

You nailed it. Especially the square head next door. “Wouldn’t piss in his ear, even if his brains were on fire”. And you can use that line.
Ironically he has an Airgun, been shooting for years, not here. But I shoot too much. I could do a weekend conference on this guy. Neighbours. Crow

Two rifles this morning 37F and snowing slush. Awesome when you hit the snow when wet it splashes.
Shot a HW35e .177.

Fantastic accuracy once I zeroed the scope. Easy to jack.
Also shot my Pro Sport .22 cal. The perfect gun. Would like a third in .177 and give a 12 FPE spring.

Great trigger. Superb accuracy. Hall of fame stuff.
Even though a heavy snow I’m sheltered.

I’m facing south shooting. Crow

I'm shooting South too.
No snow yet! Supposed to be here Wednesday
Right now it's leaves that splash revealing those low shots. There are shot shell hulls mixed in the leaves, and most of the time that is where I check zero rather than on paper.

Are your patches tight enough? I can barely pull my 2" patches through, and always get something on the first two or three.
Yes I just started using a one inch patch folded in half. They're pretty stiff. You can see the damage on my patch worm from wrapping it around stuff to pull it through.

I've been using this Otis pull through since 2007, I bought from Straight Shooters along with my 97K. I have a patch worm but never use it, can't get enough resistance before the patch pulls off..lol. Pretty much useless except for maybe in the field, but I doubt it.
Also buy these proshot 2" patches and they can be pulled at least two times, maybe three, before using a new patch.

Just poke a hole and feed it thru..
IMG_8032.jpeg

Then gather the edge and feed that thru...
IMG_8033.jpeg

Then fold it over and it's ready, just add ballistol.
IMG_8034.jpeg

Get plenty of resistance along with lead and gunk.✌🏻
