What springer did you shoot today?

Can you tell me which eccentric inserts come with the 30mm zee rings, and are there others to buy separately?
They came with 0, +10, and -10 (2 halves each). I assumed that if I put the +10 in the back ring bottom and the -10 at the top, and the 0's in the front ring that would help with the droop and it did. But the "10" apparently means 10 inches at 100 yards (MOA), and I need almost 10 inches at 25 yards. So I am going to put the -10 in the front ring bottom and the +10 in the front ring top to gain some more. I haven't done that yet. I don't see others to buy separately...

So it's only going to move it 2.5" at 25 yards. Not sure if that's going to make a difference, whether you raise the back or lower the front, seems it would be the same. You need 20's in the back and 10's in the front, that would get you 7.5" depending on how far apart your rings are. But I don't think they have anything but the 10's, I'm in the same boat, but I would need another set of 10's to move the windage as well. So mine would be raised in the back and pushed left in the front.
I don't see where they sell any inserts for the 30mm, I sent them a email hopefully I hear this week.

Shoot my NTM (new to me) 77 today at 25 yards. A bit of twang and 12fpe. The 66R Blue Ribbon scope zeroed with no problems but I'm not liking that you turn the whole eye piece to adjust magnification. The focus adjustments sometimes loosens when increasing the magnification. It may be up for sale soon. Maybe on a R8 lol.

It still felt good to shoot for a little bit today. It's 40F and cloudy today but felt colder to me so I quit early.

Be well.
Ron
On thing that amazed me about my Blue Ribbon scope is that it is able to dial zero from 30 to 75 yards without any help from moa mounts. It still has its original Beeman mounts, mounted on a Webley Tempest..177.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

The offsets in in the adapter would have to maintain the scope tube angle. This means the rings would have to be set to a pre determined distance apart.
They should come in a matching set with the front ring oriented down, and the rear ring oriented up.
I have heard of them but never looked at them.
I think you'd be better off with a set of adjustable rings.

West Hunter has come out with a set of rings designed for springer shooters.
Its a dovetail mount, height, and moa adjustable, with a pinned rail, pinned moa lock screw, its inexpensive, (29.95) and a good-looking set of rings.
The problem is that they are 30mm and come without the adapters. So you would have buy a set of those.
They also come in 34mm.

Notice how the scope tube angle is maintained on both rings insuring no pinch spots.

The burris rings keep the scope angle as well. The inserts swivel in the rings no matter which inserts are in the front or rear. You can adjust for elevation or windage or just either or. The 1.0" are better because they offer 5", 10" or 20 MOA at 100 yards. I'm finding the 30MM only offers the 10 MOA inserts, until I hear otherwise.

You can't mix them like that because of the scope tube angle. The angle that a tube rides in the adapter has to match on both rings. A 10 moa ring adapter has half of the angle of a 20 moa adapter.

Shot my newest acquisition an HW30 in 177 and I can’t get enough of this rifle. I have an HW95, HW35 and a Diana 34 but for the basement range I much prefer the light weight and soft shooting 30. Had I been able to handle one I am sure I would have owned it years ago. I always thought they had shorter butt stocks.

If your wondering, I mounted a Tech-sight.
Nice gun. With you wife’s quote. She knows how to save a marriage. Crow

My brain can't comprehend how you could accomplish propper grip and angle between two rings with inserts unless they are cohesive?

All of my concerns are are accomplished with my older modified adjustable rings.
Twice, once on the 97, and also on the 95, I remounted the scopes after they went back for service, and still had zero. I'm a happy camper.

Crowski, beautiful rifle wish I could have found a K98 in .22 when they were common up here in Canada. Also if you are looking to extend the sight radius I have a 34 which I tapped an HW77 sight onto the rail. It’s a tight fit but I am happy with it.
Thanks. It doesn’t help I live 35 min. from AGS. Crow

You can't mix them like that because of the scope tube angle. The angle that a tube rides in the adapter has to match on both rings. A 10 moa ring adapter has half of the angle of a 20 moa adapter.
These rings are machined dished out female, and the inserts are made to match the same shape but male, and will rotate around the axis of center line. Doesn't matter about the difference in the front and back, because they rotate within the rings keeping the scope tube straight. Trust me I've used them for years on my springers, and never marked or damaged a scope tube, and I don't use torque handles..lol. I probably over torque, but they hold great and never a issue.
Look it up on the inner screen and read about them.

I shot the 95 this evening and still fighting wind. I had some good and some miserable shots. The good ones were generally the ones with successful wind compensation, along with a few when the wind lay down. Best of the eve was a shotshell, primer end, off the shelf. It took four shots with a little scope fine tuning.
The daylight and the tin ran out at the same time. 👍

Read my post..."Burris signature rings, the only way to go"....I've been using them since they hit the market over 25 years ago. Excellent for air rifles and saving your scope from any ring rash.....hope it helps....
