What springer did you shoot today?

Got this spring press in finally. I like it compared to what I was using. My thanks to Warlock.

Wish there was a little more room for your hand to twist on the trigger block. Crow

My spring compressor...Not fancy ,but works . For 300S, can cut slots for other guns,etc.....

It’s the best I’ve seen or used. I’ve made 2 or 3 in my shop. They worked. Always looking. Saw this one couldn’t resist. I have a few springs to change. I plan on upgrading every new springer.
Most are put on by hand presently, only need press for a few difficult ones. Crow

I made the spring compressor because...these are metric screws coming out, from some guns that you cant get parts. Screw up the treads and your...screwed ! LOL
Using for the FWB 124 just put a 1/2" square rod across end of walnut board and you can let it out nice and easy. I like good equipment if possible, my wood working shop ,of the guys that have seen it ...is to die for ! But its a business so no China crap here. More GD snow coming down, were in the clouds right now, like a white out. so after lunch its suit up and get on "Bob" and have at it..... Free snow to whomever wants it !

This morning 28F snowing. Took out 2 identical rifles, both HW50 .22 Cal. Only difference 1 is TbT with Vortek seal and 1 is Vortek spring and original seal, changed 02/02/23. Lead is JSB 14.35?
‘First up the 50 with the Vortek. I didn’t have a stash of piston seals back then, but I will put one in.

Beautiful sounding gun with excellent accuracy. Crony stats

Next the 125 yr. 50 .22. TbT spring Vortek seal and a nicer scope.

Gave a buzz when shooting and I believe, my mistake, not enough grease. Accuracy was dead nuts on.
Here are the crony stats.

|’m going to change the piston seal on the one and a regresse on the other and do another comparison.
I have a few other models I’ll be able to compare. Crow

The one twenty five is the one I like, and it has great SD and ES numbers.

Took out my .177 HW50 this afternoon. I am still amazed at the accuracy this rifle. I'm going to have to shoot a 30yd card. Here's my warmup (at 25) before I shot a bunch of silhouettes. That's 5 shots at the bull and 4 at the crosses. If I had one clicked my scope to the left, it would have been even better. I had to go for head shots on all my targets out to 40 yards just to make it a challenge. Cheers!

Good eye! What scope are you using on the 50?
