What springer did you shoot today?

I had hoped to shoot my R9. 177 today but the wind today kept changing directions, look at my flags. They were full left and a minute later full right.

Seems my HW35 likes Cudas.
The BugBuster seems to be working well but I can’t see the reticle at cross. It’s just too thin and blurry. It was brutal trying to place them on the bull.
After the first two shots, the two highest, I had to do something different. The next eight I had to line up the outer, thicker part of the mildot reticles with the corresponding target lines @ 3,6,9 and 12.
Is there a better way I’m unaware of?
Should I use colored dots on white paper?
White dots in the bull of by black targets? (thought about this after I cleaned up)
I really want to like this scope. Any advice?

That's a big improvement in group size👌🏻 First thing to do if you haven't already, is to focus the reticle to your eye. Do this with the rear eye piece,
rotate until perfectly clear, while looking at a white wall or sky. Next I would try a different target, I'm not a fan of those shoot and see. try plain paper with a small dot or circle. I buy the stick on dots from amazon you can get a 1/4" up to 6"...lol.
They're a gazillion printable targets on this site all on one post, easy to find.
Also make sure your parallax is adjusted for your distance and the reticle doesn't move when you move your head.
If the reticle is still too thin for you then look at other scopes.

At the risk of an insult that I would rather avoid, did you focus the reticle properly?
It is the dial on the eyepeice.
Don't let your eyes focus to it. Aim it at a bland background like the sky, and dial it in, so that it is focused to your eye at a moments glance.
I'm not exactly sure of your problem, but retical focus is important anyway. 👍

Thanks so much, chip.
I had no idea that was an option.
