What springer did you shoot today?

I put my manual send it on my HW30 today. 
Tried shooting groups at 40 yards but it was too windy for that, so I moved it up to about 18 yards where it was basically hole on hole for 5 shot groups.
The 98 was supposed to be here yesterday, but it's delayed out there in la la land somewhere.

Got an afternoon shoot. Mid 20’s and windy but my blind saves the day. First a LGU Varmit .22. A pleasure to own. I with I could score a wood stock one and a LGV. Don’t care any cal. Great gun.
This next gem is a pleasure to shoot a HW97 .20. This gun makes you look decent. I have another 97 thumbhole Walnut .20 on its way since before Christmas. Can’t wait.

Nasty day. But had to shoot and crony a HW97 .177 Vortek spring and P. seal. Two years ago it was shooting 865 fps. 
What a difference. Sound and accuracy.

So it's at 8.6 fpe now, doing 678 fps.
It was at 14fpe doing 865 fps.
I bet you can cock it with one finger now.

It’s my first 12 FPE spring. Not my last. Not a power house, but finds its mark. Nice for a change. Will be around a long time.

Sorry for my northern brothers...Had some 80 degree weather for some quality time with my .20 HW95. It was love at first sight with this rifle and the flame is still burning ;-)
