What springer did you shoot today?

I shot my R10 in .177 today, it has a little bit of a twang and buzz, I'm gonna have to remedy that one day maybe with the TBT or vortex ?? Not sure yet View attachment 549010

Kudos for doing what no one else would even think of. A sawed off gas ram springer! I can't imagine that shortening the stock would help in accuracy, perhaps to make it more portable? But it looks like you are having some fun and your customization still allows for pretty good accuracy. And your dog is awesome! Cheers!

Thank you and yup removing the stock did nothing but make it more fun to carry but when it’s time shoot I’m quickly reminded I don’t have one 😂😂

I had a bit of time to hang more targets. My buddy who has a fab plant saves me some of his cutouts from his plasma C&C cuts. I like the aluminum disks best for the sound they give.
If any of you see a fab plant or welders, stop in and ask for his cutouts. Offer a buck or two for each, well worth it, they may save them for you. I drill the holes and file the ruff edges.

He gave me steel cuts outs as well 1/2 inch thick. They might last the rest of my life. I hope I live long enough to wear them out. Their the Barbie pink squares. I’ll probably give them to my buddy where I shoot up north. He’s into rim fire rifles.

Also I used an earth magnet on the back side of a steel plate to hole a dime for easy access and safe storing. I’ve probably lost a roll of dimes.

At the end of the day I got out with a HW50 .22 to give a try.

The freaking wind finally let up today after a week of cold crummy weather. I shot the 77 for a bit. Accuracy is meh but improving. I do like shooting the gun more than my 97. Albeit less than my break barrels.
I put the oe stock back on my 30 and checked the zero. I have a soda can crusher that makes soda cans the size of a pellet tin. The crushed cans make great reactive targets that last forever. I kept swatting one further and further down the drive with the peep sighted 30 until it rolled outta sight.20250322_125958.jpg

nice looking 77 mine is an ugly laminate but lefty , and great idea "crushed cans " except i would have to go down and pic them all up .

I do. I only shoot one at a time so I don't leave any laying around. I used to use empty tins but they'd pop apart in one or two shots and get chewed up quickly. The crushed cans soak up a ton of shots and jump all over the place when hit. And don't cost a thing!

CROW, your dimes are ferrous. steel? B.
I believe they stopped using silver in 1967. Some 1968 have silver. Crow
Trigger job on the 98 is done, I'm shooting today to check out the adjustments. 30mph wind so I'm shooting at 20 yards.🤦🏼😬🤔

Much cleaner, looks good. Crow
Probably not, that's why he's lost a roll ;-).
I used to leave them on rocks. Never successful. Crow
@crowski you've got such a target rich range. Do you ever miss so badly that you hit one of your adjacent targets? And thought "maybe I was really aiming for that one"? Asking for a friend....
Actually those are my favorites. The hidden ones, where you can just see a piece. And to not hit the one guarding target. Lots of wires and chains blocking as well.

The 3 vertical pick were just put up. The bottom one I can only see half, post up front in way. Keeps me occupied.
I call it variety. Crow
