What springer did you shoot today?

Nothing again for today. Wind is about 15 gusting to a little over 20mph according to weather service. For me it is almost always a strong crosswing which makes hitting at any distance more difficult. In the meantime I have been finsihing the stock on the new HW30N with some walnut oil. The way it looked and felt when I got it I don't think it had any finish. It has some nice grain and in spots seems rather porous and has been soaking the oil in. It originally seemed to have more gray tones and is now developing a more deep amber color.

Another beautiful afternoon, shot two of my favorites, both .20. HW77K and RX2. Hard to miss, even out to 45 yards.

Went out to shoot . Just could not put my stuff on the shooting table any more ( a piece of plywood UNFINISHED ) the top was peeling and cracking curling up . YUCK ! I got another piece and cut it to shape then router the edges and sanded the top , started to rain so i took it inside . This time i will Spar Varnish all sides 3 coats , That is what i did to the row boat seats 10 years ago , they still look good .
I was going to shoot the HW77 long .22 guess it will be IZH 46 in the basement .

It is not that i hate snow , it is the layers of clothing one has to wear to stay warm , I mean bundle up just to take a bag of garbage out to the can .

Spring is here in NC. I will be mowing for the first time pretty soon, that part I don't miss at all. 🤦🏼

I usually go about 1 - 1 1/2 hours at a time. Only hard on loading fingers. Glad summer is coming, but I don’t like it when you sweat when you swim. Can’t dress for heat.
I think my top of myshooting table is made from Red Oak. I’m seeing some black starting in the grain. Not wood for outside. You think Caldwell would have used correct wood. Crow

We briefly hit the freezing mark last week, and tomorrow are supposed to hit 90 degees, unreal!
I got a new to me FWB 150 in this afternoon, too late to shoot so will try it tomorrow morning while it is cool enough to enjoy shooting.

Temperature fluctuations are just insane. I’ve seen it change 40° overnight. Crow
