What springer did you shoot today?

I had these delivered about an hour ago. I’ll weld them up tomorrow. The springs might be too light to weld.🤞

Hope thes work. Crow

Crow can I triple " like" those targets? So the springs worked out nicely eh? That is really cool. You can mix and match almost anything that can be welded at this point. The original automatic reset target. I kept a few scraps of interesting shape over the years. I so have a piece or two of aluminum that won't get welded. Just suspended I guess. Be Well Brother, B.

My blind stops the mild wind. Otherwise I couldn’t shoot.
Afternoon shoot with .20 cal. with a HW98. View attachment 550912A must have gun. Gets better every time you shoot it.
‘Last for day a HW90. The anchor. View attachment 550916I kept coming back to this can at 45 yds. Beat me today.View attachment 550917Almost 4 hours of shooting today. Crow
Just a couple more well placed shots and it's cut in half. The 98 I like, I have the older 98 apart right now, it needs some work, I guess it had a hard life before I got it.

Worked perfectly. I pounded it with the 90 today, no breakage.
Anything steel is game. I’m making 4 sets now. Every time you shoot at it you get new ideas. Back plate has to go to top of target and 2 inches 45 towards you for defections.
I laugh at my wife, she says that’s good now you need a motor for a moving target. Crow.

Couldn’t hit too windy.
My 98 .22 is on the bench. Easy to work on. Crow

Every time I break out the old Diana 48 it makes me smile. All steel and wood, no plastic here. She kicks with a good solid *thud* and lands ‘em all in the black. Yeah, it’s heavy but I like that, seems to help me stay on target. Thought about adding a scope but that Williams peep sight seems to work just fine.

I would move that peep as far back, closer to the eye as I could. It would be easier to see through it and give a longer sight radius

Make a running boar target. should be fun!

We got an ice storm that’s devastating trees.

We still have no power since 5 am. You can see branches on ground and breaking on pine tree.

It’s not over, same for next 2 days. Damage is not going to be pretty.

Luckily I have a 14 kilowatt generator. I’m still able to weld the targets. Crow

I started with it farther back as you say and ended up moving it forward because I found it easier to center the front sight in the window. And since I’m a bit farsighted the peep gets blurry it’s too close to my eye.

Have lost many good trees due to ice, fortunately it doesn't happen often here. Sucks because there's nothing you can do to help them.

We had a bad one about 3 years ago. My across the road neighbor has live oaks, those are evergreen oak trees. The feeder line from the transformer on the pole across the road feeds his house, and my house. Well the oak leaves got so heavy they broke and took down the feeder line to his house, and tore the terminals on the transfromer loose. As luck would have it that termineated service to our house. His and our houses were the only ones in the neighborhood without power. The power company would not restore power until a clear line had been made from the transformer to his house. Fortunately I have an 12kw generator, wish it were larger, and was able to keep lights and the heat pump going. Two weeks later when the big ice snow storm hit and the almost entire Texas power grid failed, our area was spared. We had ample warning and I had my generator out and connected to the house in case I needed it, but never did. I had an electrician install a 3 position switch after the meter. One position is utility power on, generator input off. center, everything off, and finalposition, utility off/generator input on.

I could not resist going out to shoot. Still raining, hovering around freezing, real nasty.
‘Gun of choice a HW97 .25

And the targets don’t get any better. Check out the selection.

Every thing you hit explodes. There’s 1/2 inch of ice on everything.

Wicked shooting, but not long lasting. One dirty raw wind, but worth the challenge.
I wasn’t able to get to my shop to weld the targets. Be like climbing Everest coming back. Wiped out there once before. Still limping.
‘Power is still down, over 12 hrs.
I’m going to lose trees I planted, like this Spruce.

I shot a few with the "new to me RX2 in 20 cal. FTTs. Just wanted to make sure it goes pop. Time to get it on paper, maybe tomorrow. I just shot at a vape that someone left in my yard. Have hit it with a few various guns. Have split the outer case but it is not fastened down so I haven't done major destruction, .... Yet! Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

We got it here in the Northern Lower too Crow. The White Pine are taking an A$$ whipping. Sad to see these magnificent trees being destroyed. We’ve been listening to branches breaking all day ☹️
