Glad you’re on the mend, and shooting again. CrowWeihrauch break barrel day. HW35E .177 and HW95 Luxus .22. Might be my 2 favorite break barrels. Spinners, Cooper the squirrel and chalk targets. Chalk is a blast, they get smaller and smaller and you end up shooting at nickel and dime sized pieces. Then we gather it up and Kim and the grandkids can color on the driveway and sidewalks ha ha ha. Felt good after work and weather put the kibosh on much shooting the last couple weeks.
Very nice stock. Not had to watch. CrowToo cold and windy to shoot so I just watchedView attachment 335502
The guns look so much better with muzzle weights. Nice gun. CrowYesterday was the HW95 field pro 177 .purchased new in January An after several thousand pellets a spring kit an 2 scopes. yesterday I felt as if it was finally coming together View attachment 335538
I brought my HW50 .22 cal out today.
Topped with a Hawke Airmax 4-12x40AO shooting at 10 power using H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66gr 5.53mm.
This rifle is in a three-way tie for my most favorite. The other two are: R7 .177 & HW97K .177.

Today I was updating my dope card for this rifle now zeroed at 30 yards.

I was able to hit 1/2" spinners at 30 yds and 1-1/2" spinners out to 45 yds. Soup cans every shot at 50, and 60 yards placing my hits on top of one another.
No wind at all.
This was definitely a fun afternoon.
That’s awesome shooting. I have that rifle but I like the muzzle end on yours much more. Crow
A bit of clarity, I bought the muzzle break from SpiralGroove not the rifle, he makes the muzzle breaks. Thanks Crow, it bought it from a member on here, SpiralGroove.
Another 5 minutes I’m going to ask you to stop talking. That’s awesome. I was going to score a lathe. Too many irons in the fire. I’ll check him out. Thanks for the hot tip. CrowA bit of clarity, I bought the muzzle break from SpiralGroove not the rifle, he makes the muzzle breaks.
I've searched this thread thinking you showed this fine gun before . I've been a spring shooter for 5 years . please advice what this is!Little bit of time with this thumper yesterday. So much fun to shoot. Less fun to cock ha ha. Wasn’t as consistent as usual. Front trigger guard screw starting to strip. Off to buy some toothpicks.

Well, I’ve only shown it maybe once before but it’s been posted much more than that. I got it from Bear of Grayling. It’s a .22 Hatsan 135QE Vortex. Makes 30+ FPE. And about 50 ft/lb to cock. This is an older version from when they first came out that BoG tweaked magnificently. Quattro trigger breaks right at 2 lb and is smooth as glass. Turkish walnut stock. The fit and finish on this gun is good, but not on par with Diana, HW, or AA. Unique shooting experience, recoil is similar to a .223. Rumor mill has it that the QA/QC on more recent guns isn’t as good. BoG knows a ton about the Hatsans, he’d be the person to ask about which to get if you’re interested.I've searched this thread thinking you showed this fine gun before . Wow I was wondering myself, didn’t recognize it. I have it in the synthetic stock. I like yours much more. And you’re right, jacking that gun is like going in the ring with Tyson. You take a beating. Another 5 minutes I’m going to ask you to stop. The 98 is one of my favorites.I was on the fence with my HW98 until I fitted it with a 12 ft. lb. Vortek kit.
It was like flipping a switch from ho-hum to hell yeah!
I was going to get mine out to shoot. As soon as I picked it up my shoulder faked an injury. I just put it on my bench, took a picture. And back to storage. The wood stock is nite and day better. I am interested to hear what you think of that set up in your 98.Another 5 minutes I’m going to ask you to stop. The 98 is one of my favorites.
I put a reg. Vortek in my HW98 .177. I’m going to put a 12 ft. lb in mine as well. I can put the reg. Vortek in a HW85. Crow
