What springer did you shoot today?

Went into town and was in AGS. He’s away in Germany, big sports show, checking out the next line. Walked out unscathed, very rare.
Got back and took these two out, both recently had Vortek springs installed few weeks ago. Wow. This Vortek stuff is new to me and I’m lovin’ the change. This HW97 .20 is such a leathal rifle. Using JSB 15.89. Have to move the scope up a notch.

‘Then out came the HW50 Black .177. I used this to dissect a can, ran out of ammo on the 97. Of the dozen kits I installed only the HW80 .25 and this 50 gained speed. The 50 was 780 ,now 800 fps. And no spring rattle. Both guns were super accurate. Temp around freezing. Awesome day. Crow

I was going to get mine out to shoot. As soon as I picked it up my shoulder faked an injury. I just put it on my bench, took a picture. And back to storage. The wood stock is nite and day better. CrowView attachment 336356
Ha ha ha. All about momentum. Hit it as hard as you can. You can’t pull too hard on it, trust me. Then just keep it moving till it latches. Thank you, I was blessed to get a really primo stock from BoG.

This evening the HW97 177 got a work out. Then the HW90 22 got some range time . The question I keep asking myself , why would I want to have any other springers then these , I enjoy shooting these 2 the most .I really believe I’m going to order a 30 an sell the rest View attachment 336580View attachment 336579View attachment 336579
The 90 looks really good. You may be right on the 30. I have my 30’s for later. Awesome gun. Crow

Spent some time with my Walther LGV today.

Took a break from chasing my tail on a different rifle, and reaffirmed that with a good rifle, I can still shoot good enough to please myself!!
‘What a sweet rifle. Superb barrel. One day hope to snag one . Enjoy. Crow

I recently got myself new HW30S (.177), read so many good things about it, I had to own one myself.
It's a nice addition to my other springers (Diana 54 Airking Pro (.22), HW97K (.22) and HW98 (.177).
I love how light it is, the whole cocking and shooting experience is flawless to me.
I have no plans on mounting a scope on it, pure iron sights for this one.
Super accurate and addictive(!) on my little backyard range which stretches up to 50m.

Hw97 is one heavy piece of wood & steel (custom stock from Lukasz of https://www.lpgunstocks.com/), not liking it to be honest, except of the fantastic and beautiful stock.
Hw98 is lovely and on par with hw30 when it comes to feelings towards it, light, easy, simple, beautiful to shoot.
Diana 54 has (to me) the best trigger of these springers, and no recoil is wonderful :)

You can’t go wrong with a 30. So accurate yet simple. You will enjoy that for many years. I kept the iron sights on one. Sweet range you have. Love the see a pic of the 97. Hope to get a few custom stocks. And the 98 I agree awesome gun. Enjoy Crow

shot HW55 .177 , only had time for 6 pellets and dinner bell rang .177 7 g Tenex @ 597.3 FPS is that good or a bit slow ?
It's not that far off, if any.
I usually am happy around 560 or so with 8.2 Meisterkugeln.

I will chrony my HW55 sometime today and post results.

You are not far from where my 55 is at.
8.2 Meisterkugeln avg. 574
7.0 RWS Hobby avg. 627

Average of 5 shots with each weight.
My HW55 is pretty fresh as it had seen very little use when I acquired it.

Took 2 long legged ladies out. You would think it was a talent show . First I shot this 34, a gun I bought used a few months ago.

It’s shooting like a dream, already broke in. It’s so smooth it has to have a kit in it, haven’t opened up. My snow targets were getting blasted 60 yds. away. What’s really cool is the snow is melting so when you hit it, it explodes. Had a hard time putting it down. I substituted for a FWB 124 sport. This gun is just broke in . Man did it ever strut its stuff. I like this gun. It gives a good wack.

I know some don’t, but I like the lines on this gun. Accuracy is a gimme. Easily hitting 3/4 spinners 35 yds. and solid hits. Both guns are in my odd ball rack, but they are no odd ball. Crow

Started out just trying to get some chrony numbers from my HW55 Jr. or Champ model as it is sometimes referred to.
A really slick shooter that I usually run 7 grain RWS Hobby pellets through.

I then felt that I had not shown my Diana model 46E much love as of late, so it got to go out for some fresh air.
The rifle is pretty much limited to 12 ft. lbs. due to the transfer port design, but it is snappy and accurate.
PG2 or PG3 kit was installed back when to detwangify it, and it loves H&N FTT pellets.

The 55 is before my time, one rifle I’ll keep my eyes peeled for. Love the sights. Maybe one day. Thanks for sharing.
Nice gun. The 46 must be related to the 460, the last rifle I bought, it was used. Shot 20 rounds with accuracy then started to grind. Took apart, broken spring. Have a Vortek en route. Crow

Got out for an afternoon shoot with temp. in the 40’s. Had to shovel snow to get to the spinners.

The first laser I grabbed was a R9 .20. Not the first time I‘ve said this. What a treat to shoot.

I’m raving about this and it’s out of the box. Can’t wait to put a kit in this one.
Then I had a HW77 .22 another long barrel. Right from the first shot it was business.

The 77 is one solid gun. Have no problem with the long barrel. This gun destroyed the cans. Another great day on range. Crow

I do like your shooting range that’s sweet. A nice collection of ( squirrel guns ) That snow you have. I’m not missing that at all . It’s been crazy warm here in IL this year. 60 deg today. Unheard of.

This afternoon the HW90. 22 was having the fun . I have the pressure at 19 bar an it shoots 16 gr AA pellets like was was shooting 22 shorts as soon as I lay my hands on my chronograph Ledger with all my guns speeds il post . It like 16 gr AA. An HN 18.5 . I will admit I found myself using both hands to cock it tonight. This is one of my favorite pellet guns. Because it’s like shooting one of my 22lr I pull it into my shoulder grip thi pistol grip lean into it an shoot . An usually hit what I’m aiming at . This gun might not be a paper puncher, but it knocks the heck out of spinner out 55 yards

Thanks, you’re in Illinois? I’ve been in Chicago in the winter and you think it’s bad up here. I’ve had some great times in Chicago. Crow

Sweet gun. Every time I see a 90 I get weak in the knee, my first Weihrauch. Definitely going to spend a day or two with them in the spring, I have .20 and .25 cal. I have 3 rifles that are extremely difficult to jack, the two 90’s and my Hatson 135. Crow
Is your trigger really sensitive?
