What springer did you shoot today?

this afternoon HW90 22 cal love this gun. Set at 19 bar. Look at chronograph numbers see if it is on par with other Hw90 22 cal the yellow is trigger pull weight could not get my tablet to hook to View attachment 337620View attachment 337618View attachment 337619View attachment 337621
Man you make those 90’s sound good. The rifles I got out for today I’ll shoot tomorrow. Got over a foot of wet snow so no shooting. Thank God I have a 5 foot blower on the front of my tractor. Still took 3 hours. Blew 4 shear pins just from weight of snow.
‘Maybe tomorrow afternoon, with good weather, I’ll pull out the 90’s. Crow
Nice lines. Crow
Whacking some sparrows at the farm today!
Love this gun. 🎯View attachment 337656
Love the trigger guard. Such an accurate. Almost feel sorry for the sparrows. Crow
Did 3 10 shot shot string with my new hatsan 125 sniper refurb. Dang I'm pretty much wore out. The last few I could just barely cock it.
You’re not alone. Last week I took a Hadson 135 off the rack and put it right back. déjà vu. That gave me a sore shoulder. Crow

Point and shoot. Certainly a favorite. Like to get a LGV. Crow

spent time with FWB 600 /peep sights View attachment 337934 peep sights take a while to sight in , not like a scope .
Your right. Scopes I can zero, no problem. Iron sights, that’s a different story. Peep sights, no experience, probably like a Rubic’s cube. Have a FWB 300s, but spend no time with yet. I would like to pick up a few sets of older peeps. They look so cool.
That’s awesome shooting with your 600. Crow

I don't have any problem zeroing a peep vs a scope, with one exception, maybe two. I know on some of the Anschutz peeps the marking, R and H do not mean the direction marked moves the point of impact in that direction, but that if it is shooting say to the right then you move in direction of R arrow, just the opposite of what most of us English speakers think, It gets confusing at times. I do have some Anschutz sights that are simply a push pull for windeage, loosen the thumbscrew on one side, tighten on the other, It makes for a finer adjustment than the common click type, but not as precise for quick gross adjustments. I can zero a peep about as quick as a scope, but then I have been doing so for about 60 years. I havfe had my FWB 300s for almost 40 years now, and at the moment cannot remember specifics about the adjustment. I have added the Gehman adjustable iris to most of my peeps sights now, They really help with depth of field and sharpness of front sight and target image. Turn down iris size for bright light, and can open it up for dim light.

Good to know. Like anything else, experience makes the difference. I’ve spent no time on iron sights. Made appointment 4 months ago to have eyes checked last Thursday, cancelled, snowed in, going to need a white cane soon. When I get my new eyes I hope to spend more time with the iron sights. And the pistols. Crow

Got a morning shoot, just above freezing, low breeze. Had to drop blind to stop breeze. First rifle Diana 34 premium .177. My newest addition, bought used.

Who ever owned this had to of tuned it. What a laser. I am absolutely blown away by the accuracy of this rifle. Never in a zillion years did I think I would say that. Ironically a 34 classic is the only rifle I sold.
This is 45 yds. I was shooting the top hole, the bottom hole 5 shots,

The lower hole is smaller than a dime. Couldn’t get up there. Would cause an avalanche. This gun is a keeper.
Next gun HW97kt .25. This gun disintegrates cans. The .25 cal. is so easy to load. And it spits them out with accuracy.

5 shots 30 yds. Really enjoy this gun. Crow

I'm not a fan of that type of target.
How do you keep track of shots that went straight through without making a mark?

You know when it goes through all net. Maybe 2 of 10. None of my five were clean but 2 went through. With no holes it’s unorganized. Your shooting at marks. I’ve had it both ways. With holes win by a landslide IMO. This isn’t paper, just hacking around. Practicing for the paper. Crow

Don't know about you, but I am 77 now. I started seriously with peep sights, back in1963 in college ROTC smallbore match . Some years before I had made some homemade peep sight to put on a Daisy lever action target type BB gun and did quite well with them. About two years ago I had cataract surgery, mainly to help with night vision, to stop flaring lights. Even before that I did not have much trouble with standard leaf type rear sights, probably because I grew up with them, plus I was nearsighted and my glasses helped me see the sights more clearly, even though the target might be a bid more fuzzy. The beauty of a peep or aperture sight is that it works much like a pinhole camera and helps eyes focus better on a distant object. I could under good light conditions, see a distant target quite well without my glasses and now after getting my eyes corrected to 20/20 looking through the peep can see the target clearly and the front sight just slightly fuzzy. shooting as well with glasses as without. I guess from these comments you can tell I like irons, The only guns set up now with scopes are AA tx200, and ProSport and a HW98, All others, are set up with aperture sights, and honestly they are getting more use, lighter and easier to handle, as I like to do a lot of offhand shooting, more at reactive targets rather than paper, Paper is fine for zeroing, but not nearly as much fun as hitting a can at 20-30 yards. When I had a place to shoot it, I used to like to take my M1 Garand and bonce tin cans around, of course it has so much power it might throw the can 20-30 feet so never know where it lands so with a safe place it was fun to follow and try to keep it moving until you emptied the 8 round clip

Crow all that snow and ice, it must be frustrating. It’s autumn here now and the weather is changing, a brisk 86 degrees yesterday but forecasted to be 93.4 today.🥶🥶🥶🥶

I’ve got piles of snow 8 ft. high. It was a job just getting to targets to paint.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of shooting a HW30 and a HW35E both .177.

The 30 is so easy to use. A pleasure to use.
The 35e is amazin. I remember member’s saying how great they were. I thinking, they’re OK. I wouldn’t write home to mom. But now, what a transformation.

Love how easy to close the breach. Reminds me of my first gun a Lucznik. Only the lever was on the right side. All in all, really liking this 35 more and more. Crow
