What springer did you shoot today?

I cut up and burned about 8 trees that fell from the wind. What a fire. I scooped my HW50 .22 and shot free hand for a change. I got a new phone yesterday and does it ever have a sweet camera.

This is an audition for cirque du Soleil. Balancing feet and gun take pic with left hand. This 50 I choose because I was shooting soft snow and the .22 whacks better. Love the 50.

50 fpe .22 PCP vs 14 fpe .177 Springer…both at 50 yards are doing sub moa…granted, if there is any wind the PCP is much more effective but…the springer just has more soul. Yup, the HW97K is truly PCP accurate out to 50 yards when I do my part.

This particular 97 has a Vortek kit that was installed by JT as well as some other tuning that he did. At 14 fpe with an air stripper and moderator it is about as loud as my untuned HW30 at 7 fpe!

No, I can't shoot groups like this every day but when it comes together it feels so GOOD

One things for sure, the springer will humble you if you don't have a consistent shot process! I'm 100% sure that owning and shooting springers has improved my shooting capabilities.

The only question lingering in my mind is...how would this rifle be in .20?
I love the HW97 in .20 only thing is ammo is limited in choice. This also simplifies things when choosing a pellet.🤣 get one seems like you will appreciate it. 🤙🏻

The 97 .20 was my last Weihrauch purchase. One of favorites.
There’s not much selection for the .20. I have JSB 13.++ and H&N same weight. Good enough for the girls I go out with. Would like some 15.89’s . Not life threatening if I don’t. Have enough .20 for long time. Crow
Seems like a great day!
I’ve never dug through over foot of icey snow to start a fire. Turned out awesome. Believe it or not burn ban April 1st. That was the urgency. Loved shooting the 50 offhand. Crow

Morning shoot with 2 thumb holes. A HW97kt .25. This is such a fun gun. From first shot to last deadly accurate.

And it’s snowing like hell. Made long range targets one more time.
Next out is a long time favorite LGU Varmint.22. I think this will be the first to get a custom stock.

I can’t wait to put a spring this rifle. Going to be sweet. I was hitting a snow target 60 yds. away 1 inch group, 5 shots. I would never lose this gun. Crow

Considering either the Beeman R9 or the HW98. The same power plant, but the barrel and stock on the HW98 are motivating. Your thoughts?

I have both and a few others with same power plant. I like the feel with the 98’s. The barrel on the 98 wins hands down. My 98’s are accurate. But the R9 .20 would give it a run. Really all the guns are accurate. Good luck. Crow

I think I'm like you. If I could get a HW98 in .20 I'd be set...

Hw's aint been looking too buyer friendly. They must of got too far behind the ball and cant get out around it .
I wonder if they supply aims to Ukraine. That would slow things down.
Last year Canada got their Weihrauch’s in January. That’s when I got many of mine. I thought and they thought the shipment would come again this past January. Still not yet. I just talked to them of Friday. They don’t see any light. Scary. Crow
no shooting yet , first cup still warm . 2nd cup on the way soon i will shoot
I’m on second cup. No shooting till afternoon. Things to do. Going to save marriage. Crow

Ha ha ha. I had thoughts of putting this 56TH back together and putting on chrono. No dice. My folks are coming and Kim has a whole new list of things that suddenly need to be done. Currently saving my marriage as well. Hopefully shoot a little later. Mom used to be an excellent shot. She learned from her father and grandfather, who are actually who I learned from. Maybe I can get her out to see if she still is 😁

I always have the thought that im using a break barrel like a crowbar to cock it . i like underlevers .
I like using a break barrel more. But a under lever has to stay true longer. Not that I’m going to wear one out. I like the looks of the break barrel as well. Mind you there’s nothing wrong with an underlever.
Have 3 crowbars made in Sweden from Lee Valley. They can open any thing. Crow
