What springer did you shoot today?

I hadn’t shot any of my rifles for a few weeks. Getting over my stay in hospital.
So I pulled out my 22 cal Hw77 stainless. Three 5 shot groups rested on the palm of my hand on a table. The bottom right was the first group, a little rusty, next 5 shot group in the middle, getting better and the last on the left. Distance was 28 metres. I’m happy with these groups, just need a little more trigger time.

Well I bought my “LAST” airgun ever. Got my TX 200 in .177 yesterday, and she’s awesome! Went for the beech stock cause I plan on using it for FT and want to worry less about keeping that chunk of wood pristine. Only took 4 days to get it to San Diego from Ohio. Zeroed easily and was stacking pellets at 45 yards immediately. Always been a HW97 fan but couldn’t call myself a springer guy without the TX 200 in the line up.

Your last. HaHa. The 200 is a winner. Now you need a Pro Sport. Crow

Is your Center gun‘s stock Bamboo?
I like your pellet you made. Would you use JB weld on the union?
Crow
Yes the XS25 is in a bamboo stock. I also have a Ruger air hawk which is a XS25 in the same stock.

I used loctite epoxy to secure the bbs in the cavity in the .30 pellets.

Dont know why but the guy shooting looks like he 1- needs more beer to relax or 2- needs to stop drinking before shooting..lol. Just some reason he looks awkward , uncomfortable, somthing..🤔
Ha! Probably a bit of both, he was just looking at his group. He is awkward and uncomfortable by nature though.😳

Fired a few test shots between raindrops today with my .177 56TH. Shots 5 and 6 across the chrono. H&N FTT at 989 and 992 FPS, over 18 FPE. Looks like the breech seal was the issue. Just put back together so it might be dieseling a little but you can’t smell any and no smoke so if it is it’s not much. Rain through Saturday and Kim‘s mom flies back to Canada on Saturday so probably be Sunday before I get to really try it out. Strange feeling making that much power and not having any recoil.

That’s a nice gun. I’m a sucker for thumb holes. Came so close to getting a 56th .177. Think I wanted a .22 at the time. Mistake. Crow

Thank you. I’m digging it. Got lucky, with exception of breech seal this gun was in excellent shape. Looks barely used. Seal was actually melted from cocking linkage being adjusted improperly. Hector called it flame cutting. .22 is a great caliber for the sidelever Dianas.
Several years ago I ordered a 22 cal 56th Target Hunter from a gun shop. Was told that the Australian distributor was ordering a batch and I was now on the list. I recall it took 6 months for the batch to arrive only to be told that sorry we (the gun shop) forgot to put you on the list. That was the last time I bought anything from them.
However there was a light at the end of all that. I bought my 22 cal stainless Hw77 from another gun shop soon after.
Happy days.
Gary

Took 2 rifles out that were related because they were both so accurate. First out R9 .20.

I have to pinch my self every time I shoot this gun it’s so accurate. Next was a gem HW77 .22 long.

If there was an Air Gun Hall of Fame, this gun would be in it.

This gun or my .177 I hope to put a set of peep sights on one day. I like the long barre for a change. Crow

Actual shooting today, nothing. I did get in an upgrade Protek spring kit with guides from the UK yesterday and installed it in my old Walther LP 53 pistol, and took it out on the front porch and fired it a couple of times. I wanted to chronograph the velocity which is supposed to improve but it is raining and too overcast for it to function.
