What springer did you shoot today?

Several years ago I ordered a 22 cal 56th Target Hunter from a gun shop. Was told that the Australian distributor was ordering a batch and I was now on the list. I recall it took 6 months for the batch to arrive only to be told that sorry we (the gun shop) forgot to put you on the list. That was the last time I bought anything from them.
However there was a light at the end of all that. I bought my 22 cal stainless Hw77 from another gun shop soon after.
Happy days.
Gary
They’d have lost my business too. Don‘t have the HW77 but have a HW97K long and love it. Just to clarify, my 56TH is in .177. Was referring to Crow passing one up because he wanted .22.

Took 2 rifles out that were related because they were both so accurate. First out R9 .20. View attachment 346110I have to pinch my self every time I shoot this gun it’s so accurate. Next was a gem HW77 .22 long.
If there was an Air Gun Hall of Fame, this gun would be in it. View attachment 346125This gun or my .177 I hope to put a set of peep sights on one day. I like the long barre for a change. Crow
You’re going to cost me some money one of these days if you keep posting pics of .20. AoA has a HW95 Luxis in .20 in stock now. If I just hadn’t spent a grand on reloading supplies for my 6GT I’d of ordered it 😁

Shot my R7 this afternoon, was just enough wind to keep you on your toes. Changed out the piston seal from a ARH seal to a Vortek and replaced the lube with Krytox 205. Was really surprised after shooting it over the chronograph. Had 250 pellets on the new seal when I shot 25 over the chrono.

I’d buy that in a NY second if I lived in the US. I don’t know what a 6GT is, but I would sell it and get the 95. That’s a hell of gun. Crow

nice exact comparison , same weight pellets , thanks

Got out in morning with this FWB 124 Sport. View attachment 346261First shot 35 yds. smack in the Center of a 1 inch spinner. Forgot how accurate this gun is. And it delivers with a good smack. Awesome gun. Crow
Love my 124 Sport, and that factory rear. I did put a scope on it, a Hawke 2-7, probably shoud have gone something 4x and up, as at low power I see the front sight. I do not want to remove the front, mainly for asthetics. With the scope on my thing is to line small acorns up at about 20 yards and pop them. Mine is totally stock, and not the smoothest shot cycle, but amazingly accurate. I guess I have had a thing for FWB since I got my 124D back about 1975, and a 300s in the early 80's, I have been getting into their older spring air pistols later. I have an 80, along with a 65 that is out for a reseal and another 65 in the mail due to be delivered today or tomorrow, also looking at another with target grips.

I’ve been following your other posts on your 56th, looks like you got a good buy. I’ve always wanted one but in 22 cal. I only have 4 rifles but they are all 22 cal. I’ve had a few 177‘s but i Just like the smack of a 22 cal.
Gary
This thing makes more power than any .22 springer I have except the Hatsan 135 Vortex. And that gun just makes stoopid power. I want a Diana side lever in .22. Just waiting for the right one.

I have the 54 Pro in .22.
Is the 54 and 56th the same power plant, just different stock?
The 54 is amazing. I wish they had .25 cal. That would be interesting. Crow
Correct. Stock, barrel shroud, and muzzle weight are different and the T/H has no sights. Everything else the same. Rain is supposed to stop Saturday. Might actually get to start testing it Sunday.

New day same thing. Since my shoulder is still not 100% I’m still sticking with the easy cocking R7. 20yds 6 different pellets, four 5 shot groups per line.

Pic of my shooting lane. Will get more steel out once we get into the months with less wind.

HW 97 .20 with a blue laminate stock. Internals are as I received it new, shooting H & N 11.42s @ 784 fps 15.5 fpe. I'm not generally known as a "springer" shooter...more of a PCP guy but now and than I will put my two "97's through their paces...best group of day @ 30yds sitting...haven't shot this gun in over three months, don't know how many shots in that group 10-20. My other "97 is a 12fpe .177. The walnut stocked carbine is an SLR 98.

The only springer that I shot, was the HW70 pistol. I shot over the chrony for testing because it has has been having accuracy issues that come and go. I have a new main spring and seals ready to install. I rebuilt it a couple years ago after someone thought it might be fun to shoot a dremel bit in it which was stuck in the chamber.
It performed great until now, so I'll have to examine the plunger for clues.

I have a current 70. But I like the looks of yours.
What year is it?
Hope you can repair. Crow
