What springer did you shoot today?

My daughter was visiting for a few days and was gone today by noon. Didn’t take long the get back in my chair and start firing some lead. Started with a HW77 lam .177. Did I say laser?

This one has the long barrel, and I like it. This baby has the tendency to make you look good. Next another gem, a HW77k .25. I could do a weekend conference on this gun. What a hoot. It disintegrated two cans by severing them.

This gun is so leathal to 35 yds. it’s scary. It won gun of the week. This gun is a blast. Keeping it in the family I got my first 97, a HW97k .22. You could call this a dream gun. An absolute joy to shoot.

None of these guns have kits. Can’t wait till they do. Last out of the hole, a HW97 Black Stain, .22.

This one destroyed a few tree rats with a smile. Destroyed spinners. Fun and serious gun. Crow

I have a current 70. But I like the looks of yours.
What year is it?
Hope you can repair. Crow
I bought it in the early eighties.
I have had it apart and changed the piston seal after the damage, but I didn't polish the air chamber and I'm thinking if it is scratched that any damage may wear the piston seal prematurely.
Also if you notice the Dremel Tool bit in my photo, the tip is missing. That tip is jammed into the end wall, of the air chamber. So I want to see if it is making contact or damage to the piston seal.

Happy Easter. Gorgeous day. Shooting day for sure. R9 .177 was first up set the pace for accuracy.

I’ve got this R9 dialed in. I was able to hit my mark most the time. My next is a favorite Pro Sport .22. Did I say I liked this gun.

It’s is so accurate. Not hard on the eyes, either. Only problem. My tin ran out way too soon. I was trying to drop a can. The sides are like splitting cards and it’s swinging.
We lost a lot of snow. Crow

Happy Easter…just returned from our monthly Fieldtarget match..smallish turnout as expected..had a fair day with my Thomas carbine…now for a nice afternoon with family, celebrating our creator. John

With weather in the 50’s I’m having a heat stroke. LOL. Seriously this is awesome.

The HW97 .20 is second to none. This gun screams for more challenging shots. It hit everything with precision.
This next gun looks mean, and it is. Every time I shoot this rifle, you just can’t get enough. Such a crime they are discontinued. A great rifle.

This gun is comfortabl and accurate.
If I ever make a stock from scratch. This is the stock I would duplicate.
‘Have a great day everyone. Crow

Tested JSB Exact 10.34 in .177 56TH today. Wanted to get 40 shots through after clean lube new breech seal before putting on chrono, which was set up at 15 yards. First 10 shots made a dime-sized hole high right. This scope has an “X” reticle. What we old guys called crosshairs back when men were men and we didn’t have or want fancy things like Mil-dots etc. ;) . Took 2 shots to figure out hold under and windage then put the next 8 in the 10 ring of one of the black Shoot n C targets. Made me giggle. Chrono avg over 10 shot string was 881 FPS, extreme spread 6, SD 2. Little under 18 FPE. Made me giggle some more.

Same story at 20 yards. Shoots even higher at 20. Mount seems to be a no name droop adjustable one and I think someone zeroed it when it was shooting 9 FPE and I don’t have enough adjustment in scope, would have to re-adjust mount. Probably won’t fool with it, new scope OTW. Gun is an amazing piece of machinery. Trigger breaking at 1 lb. Haven’t touched the sled settings yet. Believe it has much more to give. We’ll see if I do ha ha.

Beautiful Easter Sunday, took out this early 3digit SN# AA PS that was recently refreshed and is shooting real nice. CS800 walnut TH target stock from late 90’s-2000ish when they were hand checkered. Nice palm swell. Few shots on steel to set zero at 31 yds then a few on paper. Up 32 clicks then another 4 to get in the zone at 55yds into a headwind. Neck shot chicken at 55 yds (was going for the head), redemption after missing a fly twice!

This chicken got hammered, was 6 paces from where it stood before the JSB Exact lifted it away. 55 yds into a headwind, next time hold a touch high.

I thought I loved my Pro Sports till I saw yours. Very nice. Shooting isn’t too shabby either. I tried to order that stock ,but they won’t ship to Canada. Doesn’t get much better. You have good taste in jewellery. Crow

@crowski Bummer about CS not shipping to Canada. You got plenty of airgun buds south of your border 😉, I’m sure we can get a stock to you without too much grief.
I’ve had some decent guys offer. I think the problem is our border. Wood products not allowed unless approved. They ask when you drive over the border for wood products, plants, meat etc. Driving me crazy. I’d like to get a few, especially when the Euro was so low. I have to get a spring in my ass and look into it more. Thanks Crow
I envy you guys. No moderators here either.
Was just shooting my Diana 48/52 in .177. was shooting at a chicken Silhouette at 37 yards from the forearm of the rifle rested on the porch railing. 1 out of 7 rounds shot hit it and spun it around several times.
I don’t have many Diana’s. They’re all accurate and my hardest hitting rifles. Crow

I took out a HW80 .177 on the range.
8AABF960-F37F-4492-8F7F-2815E602F4E9.jpeg
This 80 gave a fantastic performance. Once sighted in it was unstoppable. Targets at 43 yds. we’re no problem.
‘Next up my HW90 .20. This gun is is special. The sounds, so smooth. Accuracy is a joke for this gun. Every time I shoot this gun it blows me away.

The down side to this gun is the fact you need the gauge and pump. What a difference. Even though it’s not a springer it is worthy. Weather in the 60’s, I’ll take it. Crow

Today is long barrel day. The HW85 .177 is a gem as well. Easy to jack with length of barrel. One of those guns that just get better and better.

This gun in the future will get a peep sight.
‘Another long barrel, the Diana 34 .177. Bought used, and I think it’s been tuned. It just sound perfect. (not that I know). It’s been tuned down. Accuracy is a gimme.

Almost didn’t buy. Super glad I did. Crow

Crow and his talk of long barrel guns. Under the lights dispatching spinners, chalk targets, and Cooper the squirrel tonight. First up was .177 35E. Some call her portly but I prefer Rubenesque. Great, classic lines, smooth and curvy. Temperamental, but treat her right and you’re rewarded. This one’s had work done. Best shot cycle of anything I own, just short solid thunk. No buzz, no vibration. Great sound. A pleasure. Next was .177 97K long barrel. What a gun. Solid and well made. Dead nutz accurate. Powerful. Stock power plant so a little twang, but it doesn’t hurt it any. I can’t say I’m glad the red lam Air King Pro arrived broken, hate to see good machinery torn up. But, every time I shoot this pair I can’t say I’m sorry I ended up with these as replacements!

Well another great showing. I had a feeling you would enjoy those Hw90 s .60 degrees 😳 wow . That snow is going fast ! I can see the advantage of your range you don’t have to move them around. Every time I need to mow I have to move them then put them back. Now have them setup for summer shootin

You did wicked on that deal. I have the 54 pro which I’m shooting tomorrow, ironically I like the looks of the 56th better. Crow

You know what, that 90 really is amazing. Again thanks for stirring up the pot.
I‘m getting ready to do a revamp on the range. Have a few good ideas and time.
‘Going to get my buddy to cut some double spinners. I have to go up north, my buddy with a range has thousands of dead trees. They’re up to 40 ft. long, straight, dry and only 4 inches at base. I straddle them across tres and hang stuff off them. I can leave up all winter with out getting buried. Works great. Crow

Well , I had the HW97K out BUT I'm just not happy with the trigger. 1st stage is fine. But the 2nd stage is like a rolling 1st stage and has an inconsistent release. What can I do about that? Maybe AGN could help me with that. I then brought out the R9 and she is a dominatrix and very strict about how she likes to be held. She'll kiss you fine when you do and slap you when you don't. I then let out my little princess. Her name is Gem, a HW 30. She makes me smile,we have a good time.
