All .177 today. HW35E, Diana 52 Luxus, and a little with HW97K long barrel. Plan was to have a shootout between the 52 and the 97 but 25+ mph wind gusts made me decide otherwise. Did some fiddling with the screw torque on the 35E and it was much more consistent than yesterday. Beautiful shot cycle. A little hold sensitive. The Diana always shoots well. Shot the other side of a target I shot yesterday with the 97. Even with the winds there wasn’t a big difference in group size. About 10 shots standing with the 97 just to warm up for chrono. Really liking that gun. Chrono on 35E says avg of 829 FPS, spread of 6, std dev of 2, just under 13 FPE. 10 shot string with AA Diablo Field 8.4. 97 long avg 856 FPS, spread of 6, SD of 2, right at 14 FPE. 10 shot string with H&N FTT. I have no complaints.
Nice day, mid-70’s for our high. Only bummer was Kim wasn’t able to play. This sweet little girl at the bottom accidentally took her momma out earlier in the week while they were playing ball. Kim knows if you stay still when our dogs are running at you they’ll miss you and well, she didn’t. Bruised her up but she was feeling better. Shooting a few hours yesterday aggravated it so looks like I’ve lost my shooting partner for the rest of the week.
