What springer did you shoot today?

I have some tnt and marconni ? and Vortek never put in yet.
I installed 13-14 Vortek springs sets 2 winters ago and really liked the results in all of them. One was a R9 .20, identical to the 95. It’s smoother, quieter and accurate, one of my keepers.
Probably the Marconi? for a change. Crow
ARH James Maccari.

Cute airgun?

every time i started to go outside shooting it started raining . I shoot from a covered area but the 16,5 yard target is outside . I need to make a roof over that to keep the target dry ..
Monsoon here this morning. I could barely see driving to work in the dark, going bout 40..lol.
More rain on the way, gotta love Hurricane season.

Progress on the 97K refresh tune. I decided to go ahead and button the piston and compression tube, slow going without a mill..lol. Anyway, the piston is done. The compression tube is case hardened, or so I read, so I'll have to see how that goes. Piston has a nice sliding fit and it will stay centered in the tube now. First one I've done so I'll have to see how it affects velocity.

Decided to make a new o-ring piston cap after truing up the piston head, so that will be later on
in the process.

Gotta love them sights
I have several of my guns set up with sights like that , front globe with changable inserts, Anschutz rear diopter, front antiglare tube and Gehmann adjustable iris on rear extension tube to get the iris closer to my eye.

Went to our family farm. Our youngest son had friends from chess club at Shippensburg U meet there for chess and some shooting and fishing at our 4 acre pond. Pleasantly surprised how many of the 13 youth have some experience shooting.
Only 1 caught a fish today. A newbie that was learning to cast caught his first fish. Only managed about 12 feet with his casting attempt and caught a small bass.
Some of the kids were making a ruckus on a raft and the fish don’t usually bite well then.

We shot these guns
Top down Webley Stingray.25,
Rare 1919 BSA Improved Model D light pattern 177. Only about two hundred of these exist partly made from leftover pre WW1 parts. In particular the side button cocking lever. The last of the pre WW1 Straight hand stocks were used up on them. The only Improved Model D’s made after WW1
Improved Model D’s first appeared in 1908 FYI
Crosman 150 pistol
And an R7.

I gotta make a cool muzzle brake for that R7 and I have an idea in my head that nobody does. The Beeman brake looks like a big schnoz.
I got the BSA on eBay years ago with parts missing. Most notably, the cocking link. I found one on eBay UK eventually but after the auction and it got here it didn't fit! I had to modify it slightly, including heat and bend it some. And it's cold blued (shhhhh) because it was from a slightly worn parted gun and what choice did I have? I made a new leather seal and fixing screw as well as the cocking link axis screw. Shoots very nice albeit a little twangy
Awesome little gun to have and shoot. # L373, the three hundred seventy third rifle BSA made after the Great war. And half of those were standard length .22's 😃

If I had a break barrel I would try to make some kind of full shroud, like the 98 has.
The sleeves look very cool but add about a pound to the weight, unfortunately.
I don’t care for a heavy field gun.
To me, if a hunting air rifle weighs that much more than a 22 rf I’ll just take that out.
Why would I want to carry a gun that weighs almost as much as my bull barrel varmint rifle?
And it isn’t usually flat land where I want to go either.
