What springer did you shoot today?

Shooting late again.
I'm looking forward to some real shooting time!

I shot an extra shot in this group as I knew I pulled one, but I can't see them with this new scope. I have walk out there.

With the 24X Element, I can aim inside the bullseye at the center bull, whereas this 14X Athelon i aim at the bullseye. My heartbeat on my rickety table with Element bounces all around the red dot making the timing on the trigger squeeze important.
I'm pretty impressed with the 95n. It's been giving me sub 2" groups, with either scope.

So Bustachip you are basically waiting for paint to dry. You know we are all waiting for its debut. Guess I need to get out the 90 in .25 again Crow. Be Well Brothers, Bandito.
Yes, and a couple of days in between coats, and I need at least 4 more coats..lol, gonna be a min. I'm really wanting to get it back together, but I've come this far, might as well do it right.

That's how I feel shooting at 40 yards on 7 power. I'm used to 16 most always. Nice group at 75 yards.

24 is pretty crazy when I think about all our scopes used to only go to 9X. My brother shot my Ruger/Kidd 10/22 with my Element 24X, at 100y, and he paused looked at me and said "I can read the writing on that target". Lol

▪︎ Hatsan Striker Edge (coiled spring) .22cal

▪︎ Hatsan Edge Vortex (nitro-piston) .22cal

𑌣 5 shots each.

𑌣 To make myself wonder if ear protection might be appropriate for springers.

𑌣 To record their humble 17FPE power level for the sales ad.

𑌣 To feel one last time the violent jerk on my shoulder.

Yupp.
That's it.
I'm done with springers.

🔸️ Sure: PCPs cost on average twice as much (incl. the air supply),
and require twice the maintenance (think o-rings).

🔸️ But compared to springers...:
they are half the size (bullpups),
half as loud,
and
twice as powerful,
and twice as precise to 100y —
and they look better (to my eyes, that is).

But the airguniverse is vast — with lots of space for all kinds of preferences — so, I'm glad there are springers out there that perform much, much better than my Hatsans..... 😃

Have fun! 😎
Shoot the guns you enjoy most!!

I do wear ear plugs shooting from inside the garage out to 40 yards, because 1, it's loud after several shots and my ears ring, and 2, I can concentrate better with them in. You can really hear what's going on in the gun with ear plugs in, it isolates spring noises, like springs in the scope vs the main spring. I had my 97 so dead on the main spring, I could actually hear the spring in the cocking arm, so I packed it with grease and that went away also.
