What springer did you shoot today?

Nice gun. R11. It’s on the bucket list.

A few of my Weihrauch springs had bends in them. None were used a lot or abused. Crow
I’m thinking about selling an r10 I just
re-sprung and a new piston seal.

I made a tool for the LGR out of a 3/8 socket that’s 1/4 drive. I needed to use my dewalt impact driver to break the valve nut loose on the Walther. It wouldn’t break loose by hand. I tapped the impact trigger in forward and then in reverse and it spun right out. After that and scraping out the old seals it was pretty easy to do.
The pipe and soft steel tools I made and tried first failed to work.

That's pretty clever, a mill is on my short list.

I finaly did a few shots this evening well after dark.
I mounted the HW35's scope on the HW30, and shot with scope opticaly centered, and the rings at zero moa. Range was 30 yards. It shot 28 MOA low., with .20 cal H&N FTT. So I raised the moa by putting a 7/64" Allen bit under the ring adjustment and tightened them up.

Now it's shooting 48 MOA high. That's 76 moa of movement with basicly 1/8" adjustment. That info can give me a target measurement to set the moa as desired, rather than trial and error, (my usual method).
I wanted the FTT pellets ballistic info to compare the trajectories of the (30 in .20), to the (35 in .22). I have the 35's info, but not the 30's. I suspect that they will have comparable drop at 75y. So I pulled out the chrony and set it up, turned it on and shot five shots, but it never registered a shot. Then the battery went dead. 👎

I've had this in my mind to do since I got the scope, but I'm thinking that the 35 will be here before I get it done anyway.

I will be shooting PB's with my brother all day tomorrow, so maybe Sunday after church. 👍
Have you heard of the Burris Signature picatinny rings? They come with 0, 10, and 20 MOA ring inserts that allow you to nearly perfectly align the optically centered scope to your desired zero. They are very high quality and have the benefit of 6 screws per cap. The insert material also “grips” the scope tube very well without marring it. Although pricey, I’d recommend 100% for fixing alignment issues or if you simply want your scope to be as close to optical center as possible.

Yes I'm familiar with those rings, but they would be limited to three positions, and require scope removal to make the changes.
The rings I'm using are adjustable from 0 to 40 moa with the scope mounted. 👍
These have 6 screw ring caps as well, but I haven't had a scope move in the rings as yet. I do have slippage on the mounting rail, so I will likley drill and tap a grub screw to make a scope stop pin.

Thanks for the response and Merry Christmas. 👍

Afternoon shoot after a spin to the post office. Picked up some spare parts from Chambers.

I’ve been trying to bank parts slowly. They’ve already came in handy.
Afternoon shoot with 2 gems. A HW50 .20. Persistently accurate.

Temps went up to 24F so I replaced half dozen tin cans on range and the last 10-4 inch discs. Made from 1/4 aluminum. Have 25 up now they are the best. Totally different sound. Make a chink sound.
Finally shot the HW80 .20 again only 2 days old.
I wasn’t a big fan of the HW80’s, I am now. Bought used. It’s had work done to it. This gun is impressive.

Another good reason for tree rats to stay away. Had to turn on the lights.
After tomorrow days get longer by 1 1/2 min. Crow

The report you get back from the targets is a big part of the enjoyment. Paper shooters miss out on that.

I’m almost familiar with your yard.
Is that the distance you keep the crony for a reading?
Crow
Yes, it says 15" but I find that it picks up shots anywhere from my shooting table. It does have to be pointed in the general direction of the POA. And I'm very familiar with your yard, and thankful for it...and a bit jealous :). Cheers! Rick

Thanks. I actually went to buy the Garmin, but out of stock at the time. Impatiently I scored the FX. I like the size of the Garmin. Crow.
Hey guys, Bless you all and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Thanks for welcoming into your shooting lives. Be Well Brothers, Bandito. And can I count on you guys if I need Bail Money? B.
Hey Bandito, Merry Christmas. Not sure if you can bail anyone from jail. Crow

Well today I risked loosing a finger. 12F. Light breeze but sunny. The sun kept you warm. Had to wear a hat from the sun, which isn’t normal for me to wear. Took 1 shot almost got knocked out from the scope catching the brim of my hat. Ha ha.
Took out 2 rifles couldn’t get past this HW97kt .25.

Best plinker on the wall. I have a 95 on order in .25 walnut, can’t wait to get. Really love this gun on the range. Crow

Got the other rifle out this afternoon. Went up to a balmy 14F. but sunny. Shot this R9 .20, an absolute superb rifle.

Have an extension on the scope. I could make major league out fielder. A magnet for catching lead you drop.
‘Cold but no wind, good for 1 hr. rounds.
Hey Gary. How you doing?
