What springer did you shoot today?

I've been using this Otis pull through since 2007, I bought from Straight Shooters along with my 97K. I have a patch worm but never use it, can't get enough resistance before the patch pulls off..lol. Pretty much useless except for maybe in the field, but I doubt it.
Also buy these proshot 2" patches and they can be pulled at least two times, maybe three, before using a new patch.

Just poke a hole and feed it thru..

Then gather the edge and feed that thru...

Then fold it over and it's ready, just add ballistol.

Get plenty of resistance along with lead and gunk.✌🏻
I have one of those too. It even has a little carrying case. The problem is I like to send it down the breach, and pull to the muzzle.

Are your patches tight enough? I can barely pull my 2" patches through, and always get something on the first two or three.
I pulled an oiled patch then a clean patch, with only a slight discoloration today.
I can't remember how many tins through the 97 anymore. I switched back to FTT's today. It's exactly 20 clicks, or 5 moa of down to switch between JSB 13.73, and the FTT's, at 75 yards.

The wind was challenging, but I managed some pretty good Kentucky windage for a Louisiana raised Michigander. 😁

That hanging med bottle at 75y is on a long string. It hangs directly under the white pan up on the tree trunk. When the wind lays down.
👍

Yes. That wood safety/guide is great. I haven't seen one until now. Pull throughs are OK but I like my cleaning rods. A throw back from my muzzle loading competition days. I was never going to win much at it but I learned lots about shooting, loading, and cleaning. And myself. Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

Nothing in the last two week. Between family visting, snow and other crap weather I haven't shot any airguns. Including my new to me 77. Ugh! Sorry. I had to vent as I sit here with 25mph winds and 18*F (w/o wind chill) and new snow on the ground. To think I moved to the south for nicer winters?

Days are getting longer, another month or so and we'll be looking better. The wind doesn't really die out here in NC typically, until around May.

I have excellent protection from the wind. This an old pic but taken with my drone. You can see the range above house. Just about surrounded.

This is looking south. I‘m shooting on the back right side of the house. The wind generally blows from right to left. A north wind can catch me then I can drop the blind. Crow

Where is the oil well? ;0) GORGEOUS place!

Second time out this morning. Shot this HW77 .22. Bought second hand.

Talked to the lad I bought from and he bought it the same time and from same place I bought my .177. Now they’re together again. Very nice gun. No kits in yet. Accurate. Only 16F.
Talked to my buddy out in the prairies this morning, -40F. Crow

Nice pad! Lot of work in those rocks.

Had some quality time with my new .22 HW35e. Barrel droop on this one (and what a barrel it is, super looong). Burris Signature rings on the way...will have to switch some scopes around since those rings seem to come only in 30mm and I have a 1" scope on this. No big deal.

Did some provisional pellet testing with some likely suspects. The winner was the JTS 16.08. 617 fps, 13.6 fpe, 6.0 spread, 1.7 sd. Only shot at 15 yards to "zero" the scope. But still, amazing accuracy. The rifle has a pronounced "boing". Ordered a TbT kit for it and the HW50. Was going to try the Vortek kits, but man are those pricey! Since I don't know any better, I went with the less expensive option.

Also had time for my other .22, the Prosport. With the new kit it is definitely smoother, but at a much lower power. It used to like the JTS 18.1's but with 606 fps. 14.8 fpe. It's down to 535 with the TbT kit. So now, it seems to like the same 16.08s that the HW35e does, at 608 with 13.2 fpe. But what a pleasure to shoot...and still super accurate.

What type mount are you looking for in the 1.0" zee rings, picatinny or dovetail? The two sets I have are picatinny and I use a rail adaptor.

Dovetail, I could go with the picatinny adapter. Stupid me actually didn't think of that. Maybe I'll order a pair to keep my options open. Thanks!
