What springer did you shoot today?

The wind finally laid down this morning. I shot my 77 trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the accuracy. It only shoots FTTs acceptably. Half inch at 25 yards. Most other pellets are over 2". With the zero shifting inches between types to boot. Wondering if it was me or the wind that started to pick up as I went along, I broke out my laminate Hw30. It shot half inch or better in the increasing wind with three different pellets with only minor changes in zero.

The last time I had something like this was a R7 from the same year that had a loose barrel and no choke. This barrel slugs fine but still doesn't shoot well. I'm at a loss. There may be the reason this gun is in excellent condition.

I’ve only shot the 75 a few times. Compared to the HW45 or Beeman P1 it’s dream. I’m not at all familiar with a IZH. But would like to. Crow forgot to send

I agree, the HW75 is much better to shoot than the 45. I like the way it fits my hand, but the ergonomics of cocking to me are still tiring. The IZH looks weird but is much easier to cock and the trigger is much better. Mine has the optional trigger that can be adjusted up/down on the trigger shaft and pivoted to fit your finger better. I think the pull weight on mine is about 3 oz, so light even my Wheeler electronic gauge has trouble measuring it.
I have been trying to find one of the FWB 100 series SSP pistols but have not been having any luck

Sad report The Diana 75 factory lefty lost power . Shot 3 pellets very low @ 50 foot target . Next shot Red flakes ( the seal ?0 were present in the loading port and the pellet never hit the target only 50 feet away , this is the exact thing that has happened for the second time . Same thing happened with the Diana 60 i bought a few years ago Broken right away The Diana 60 made very bad crunchy noise trying to cock it so i stopped not finishing . Guess i will have to bring two Giss rifles to David Slade in the near future .

Thanks. So ironic. I found a guy with a grey lam. Came this close. Have you ever seen one? So I ordered a HW30 stainless from AoA. That gun is missing thanks to USPS. I replaced it with a HW30 Walnut .20. I had a 77 waiting for the .20 to arrive but might be a month. I wanted to get the rifles over the border before extra possible tariffs so I had the .177 in stead of the .20 shipped with the 77.
I’ve been trying to buy custom stocks for a few years and still euchred. Can’t ship over border. So for me to score a Walnut stock for a premium price it’s a win win. The other 2 lost were both Walnut 95 and 97
Currently I have a few 30’s and R9’s in .177. Have 3 different spring manufacturers as well. Lots of fun work.
Have to keep in book. Can’t remember what I did this morning.

Not familiar with the 100. I have a FWB 65 which I don’t shoot in winter. But soon. If I remember correctly, it was really clean. Crow

This company made some keepers. So smooth. Rear sights.

The muzzle end is different, a first for me.

The mechanics is unbelievable.

This gun been around.

Today, I received a new (to me) 4-16X Hawke Compact AIRMAX from Kenny in TN.
I put it on my 41 year old R1.
I have other Hawke scopes but they are a bit long for the break barrel.
The compact is perfect IMHO.
I will zero at the range on Wednesday but I took a quick five in the garage at 9 yards, offhand to make sure it was on paper..

I have a FWB 65, and a 80, both fantastic pistols, but the IZH is a better 10m gun, better sights and much better trigger plus easier to cock. I am not crazy about things Russian, but this is one area where they excelled in a moderately priced target pistol.

Earlier this year I picked up a FWB 602 Meistergrade. That is one with a walnut vs laminated stock. I bought from a member here located in Hawaii. It had numerous dents in the forearm, so ended up paying about $450 shipped from Hawaii to Texas, then sent it right off to David Slade for new seals, so with all the shipping and work Have about $700 in the gun. WHile it was out I refinished the stock and it is great, a lot of tigerstripe in the forearm area, buttstock somewhat plain.
Like you said the mechanicis are unbelievable .

I think my IZH cost a little more than 1/4 the price of that Morini and I don't think the Morini would make me shoot nearly $1500 better.

The only reason i have the Morini is i received a small inheritance and went to Champions Choice as they had a Morini lefty in stock no extra charge . I have shot others in the same class Styre, Walther, and pretty much the same just different design /same results .

That's how I got my FWB 300s rifle back in the mid 80's.

My 77 only likes 5.52 JSB heavies and 5.54 FTTs.

Anything else and it will double the group size. Sometimes that’s just the way it goes.

So, even with 15-17 knots of wind here in Fairfield, I took the R1 with the new Hawke 4-16X AMX compact scope out and shot sideways in the yard so I could shoot at 25 yards.
Using 8.64gr H&N FTT I zeroed at 25 then the shot five for record.
Not too bad…IMHO

I saw a FWB 100 on the “other“ air gun site…contacted the seller immediately…tooo late. Lasted minutes. Still on the prowl. Good luck with your search. John
