I have not pulled the trigger yet on the T9 but I am getting itchy. I’m mostly in my backyard so I’m wondering what suppressor is being used and even with the suppressor can the gun be made to be backyard friendly?
Donny fl Ronin, 357 with a ( I believe a100 back cap?)challenger pro m14x1 back cap. No adapter needed just a different rear cap on the moderator itself
Thanks for the reply. Are you having any hiccups with the ronin attached, like jamming or anything? Does the ronin make this gun more backyard friendly or?
It's definitely not a backyard friendly gun without a moderator. It's loud. I would say it's one of the loudest guns I have (short barrel). I know my ears dont ring when I have it on. I can't say if the moderator effects cycling? I never really shoot it without. I have had it not fire a few times when it had a full tank. That could mean the gun doesn't like a moderator? Or it could be the gun doesn't like a moderator at 4500psi? Or it doesn't like 4500psi? I now personally only fill mine to 4,000psi and I get 16 rounds per fill and it works perfectly every time with a moderator attached. I run texoma precision 68 grain hollow skirts (t9 specific). They feed great. It doesn't like hollow points, i was running 68 grain fx hybrids , the weight was good but the hollow point would catch the edge of the barrel sometimes. I think 81 grains are too heavy. The magazines do fit loose and require a few layers of tape to tighten them up, there are definitely a few of us running some sort of tape on the magazine so it doesn't work it's way out with the kick of the gun cycling. I have 1 piece of clear gorilla tape on the back side of every AEA mag I have. 2 layers on the t9 mags and i have to force them in place I have 6 AEA guns and I would buy another tomorrow. Im not discrediting them whatsoever. I like the mags to have no wobble. It kicks hard and is a blast to shoot.
I’m thinking the 4000 or so fill is a common theme with AEA from what I’ve read. I only own one AEA (megalodon) and it seems that at 4500 it just kind of spits the ammo out. Thanks for the feedback on the t9. I really want one but I don’t want to have to drive to use it.
Interesting, i had never heard about any others doing that. It is the only one that I run at 4,000psi, All of them get filled to 4500psi except the t9. I wish i could shoot in my yard, I would have Karen's calling the po po over gun shots.
