Not that i would try it, but from what i gathered when they go bad they start leaking rather than exploding.

Good to know my I know of three that I have access to but I don't think I want to go through the headache of setting them up just to find out they don't work thanks for answering though

Embarrassed to say I have a great white and a guppy you all know where they came from and I have had them for many many years most likely expired and that don't bother me. They look good and I baby them and I would not give that guy another dime of my money.
Just bought another 75cf tank used.
As for pumps I have the GX CS2, The Nomad II, Omega Air Charger, and the YH with Auto Stop.
The Omega Air Charger concerns me on parts being avab and being a one man show for warranty and such. When I bought mine AOA would give a Military discount but I do believe they discontinued that because I was told by them on the phone.
I had the shoe box with the electronic auto stop and it's was great and easy to rebuild. Sad I sold it.
