I am experiencing poi shift and some people say no don't install barrel band and others say install one ,I need someone to explain why yes and why no....also what would be the best moderator out there for the m4 sniper...gracias!!

Poi shift is the only thing i would like to resolve for now and what can i do to learn about how to go about it ,if it happens to anyone that resolve it and want to share im all eyes and ears attentive....

The FX hollow can you got with the gun actually does a decent job. Also “best” depends on what you want it to do. As quiet as possible? Light? Short? I like the STO Falx on mine. IA 1250 and Donny Yoko are quieter but also heavier.
As for POI shift, it’s an impact… and tensioner/clamp aren’t available for the m4 yet (thanks for the ever so slight changes, FX…) so it is what it is at this point, don’t bang the gun around too much I guess

I second the STO Falx.

I have the 22 cal m4 and the factory can is great .As for poi shift I have none but i installed the carbon fiber liner right off . I can`t say for sure that it made the poi diff or not !

The CF sleeve definitely helps! IMHO should first/in addition be figured whether it’s barrel induced POI shift as opposite, e.g., wonky tune, sticky valve rod and 15-20 warmup shots with different POI or whatever else is out there. Hence the question as to whether the shift happens even if the gun isn’t moved around.

Found the same thing now my drs is different story that just doesn't ever shift even if you pick it up by the barrel just have regular 1 in 16 slug liner on orings in the drs

I have switched all of my guns except one to Sonus moderators. Very happy with them. One day I will change the one Impact Air one out as well.
As others have suggested put a CF sleeve on the barrel as the first attempt to clear up POI shift.

My m4 took several shots to wake up ,I sent it in to UA all on fx nickle . now Day to day first shot is great . ONE INCH OFF AT 100 YDS FIFST SHOT IN THE MOURNING !

CF Sleeve and a tensioner of some kind. If your Impact came with the newer front support block with the clamp all you really need is a spacer to go between that and the shroud.

don't know about what is the best but i will say another one not to overlook is A/C (Airgun Capitol) moderator.

Chuckar60 were did you buy your Sonus moderator.
I can't find their website.
I did find them on Cape Fear airguns but they didn't have any in-stock.

Idaho Air Guns. I was there this afternoon and they had a healthy stock of them. One thing nice about the Sonus is that you can change the caliber.

On my 22 sniper I tested all 5 moderators I had. This included the Donny small and large with sections on them and the impulse a similar model to the Donny. An older Donny and the one that came with the gun. The best for accuracy with my setup, the one from FX and it really is just about as quiet. I even shot the moderators full length and then would take a section off at a time. It does make a difference.
Now on my drs pro, same process and it like the Impulse with all the pieces attached. Again for accuracy. Of course I also did no moderator and the guns we’re too loud and not as accurate.
so is one the best. Absolutely not. But trying to find the one that works the best on your gun is a time taking process and you have to have the moderators available to you.
