What would YOU Pay for an Electronic Crosman 2240? (Market Research)

Hey guys. A major manufacturer has inquired about offering lower receiver frames or whole 2240 type Crosman guns with an electronic trigger built in to the gun. 

Before we waste this guy's time and possibly end up with a bunch of units...I have been tasked with conducting market research to determine if this is even a good idea. 

Would you buy this? for how much? 

A practical price could be $349 for the lower frame with electronics built in. Possibly $599 for a whole 2240 brand new with the e-trigger.

Is that a perfect price point? Would you pay more? or less? Please post your opinion here. 

ALL feedback is welcome. If this is a dumb idea, it's all good, lets just find out now. We would need to sell alot of them and we would want them to keep selling over time. What do you think?

While this would be functionally good. That price is about 7x what a prod trigger costs. Prod triggers are already VERY good. Hard to cough up another $300 for a little bit of improvement.

I think by large, most people would pass.

While very cool, it defeats the point of that line of crosman guns.

Simple, easy to work on, goes bang first time and every time you pull the trigger.

Ill agree, its too expensive, and it adds another (or maybe several more) point(s) of failure.

looked a lot harder at the pics... I think if you sold the frame the e-trigger is in, compatible with Crosman internals, youd have a good seller.

The guy who contatced me owns a paintball gun company. He can make the frames with trigger in it for under $100...but you have to charge 4-5X what a product costs you to make it. 

He said he had worked out an e-trigger for the SK19 to solve the trigger pull on it. I was not aware there was any problem there. Anyone think we need SK19 e-triggers? He did not mention the price.

Is it a solenoid hammer? Or is it simply a solenoid activated trigger with a conventional hammer and sear?

On a lower powered gun, not much benefit over the two stage drop sear 1720T or Prod trigger. The solenoid trigger could solve the slow pull variations in the direct sear 2240 trigger. But cheaper to just use a PROD grip frame/trigger group.

I experimented with an an electronic hammer with a Crosman grip frame. It worked well enough but I ended up using the PROD two stage trigger.

I shot an SK19 recently and really liked it but the trigger final stage is stiff and there is a long take-up/reset to get there Something like that could benefit from an electronic system. But most of the time it is not worth the added complexity.

Paint-ballers might pay up for it, but I doubt many air gunners will.
