FX What’s better…an Air Venturi Avenger/JTS Airacuda Max or a FX Bobcat MK2? Poll.

Technology has come a long way I agree. We can buy regulated PCPs with relatively good quality for a very reasonable price. But do these new PCPs compare with the older generation regulated FX rifles? Let me know what you think. Would you rather buy a FX Bobcat MK2 in relatively good condition, or a new Avenger/Airacuda Max given that they are the same price?

the FX Bobcat is the better gun, YES I would buy the FX over the others, has a better resale value too.
and I'm not an FX fan....

I'm not a fan of cocking levers being at the rearmost section of the gun nor my ear being right up against the action. So my personal preference on that alone leans towards the other option.

Haven't seen many Air Venturi Avenger/Aircuda win much, unlike the Bobcat Mk2 that has won many tournaments... This one's a no brainer if you want to shoot pellets...

Very true. I was a young lad back then so I forgot about that.

Ha! So you're only 20 years old? A Bobcat Mk2 won 2019 RMAC Sportsman and 2019 EBR Sportsman. Plus, in the past couple of years a Bobcat has won more than one Extreme Field Target event and placed in numerous others. Hasn't been that long ago, but I guess if you're 20, then 4 or 5 years ago seems like a long time...

What the…I did not know that. I was thinking they were prominently used for EBR back in the earlier years of 2014-2016. I was around 14-15 at that time. That’s cool info…thanks

I've shot with my Bobcat over the years...can't say enough good things about it. Just posted this a
few days ago...3 5 shot groups at 45 yds OFF MY KNEE...go back through my posts.....

Had a .25 Bobcat MKII, that gun was a laser. Wish I would not have traded it.

If you can get a good condition bobcat mk2 for the same price as an avenger or Airacuda that is a literal no brainer. Probably already missed the deal if there was one before this thread.

There’s a .30 cal Bobcat MK2 on Classifieds for $900 that won EBR Sportsman in 2019.

I know this is an old post but I figured since I own all three guns, I would pipe in. My FX Bobcat is by far the most accurate of the 3. JTS 2nd and Avenger 3rd. That being said, all 3 are very accurate guns. I can group the Avenger and JTS in 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. The FX will stack pellets all day long.
