What's better namad 2 or hatsan tactair.

As an owner of a Nomad II, I would say the Nomad II is a nice little piece of equipment (when it is working). Would I buy it again? NO. First, it is overpriced. Second, when it fails, the shipping to the manufacturer is expensive,

I have not found any information in regards to owner repair. This has relegated the Nomad to the status of emergency/expedient backup to help prolong its use. I bought a Yong Heng and appropriated an old SCUBA tank from my son for most needs.

If you need a 12 volt portable pump, I would consider one of the $250.00 range on Aliexpress. From all info, they are the same as the Hatsan. Should you want AC you can always add a converter for another $50.00 or so. At that price, the pump is more of a disposable item. Don't want do deal with China, go with a stateside Hatsan dealer for a higher price and some peace of mind.

These are my thoughts, and from your post, that appears to be the purpose of asking.

Both are not real compressor. They are more of a automatic handpump put inside a box. They will only fill guns and get over heat quick and break down easy. I suggest if you want a compressor, get a real compressor. The hatsan lighting sells for $1093 free shipping at field target. Been using it for 1 year with no problems and haven't even rebuilt it yet. Just oil change. There are also the omega super charger for a little more at $1800. And the daystate compressor at $2000. Spend the extra money and get a real compressor, not these mini hand pump machines.

If you are going to fill bottles the Altros is not the way to go. On a 88 cubic foot bottle it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes for every 10 cubic feet to fill to 4500 psi. And I have a compressor that can maintain 140 psi to feed it and it really puts a demand on it. I only filled 3 bottles from empty and one every 2 weeks from 2900 psi to 4500 psi over just short of 2 years and mine had a catastrophic failure. On top of that Altros didn't honor the warranty. The unit looks like it is made out of metal but is mostly plastic. It would probably work fine for filling guns but definitely not tanks. On top of all that it is expensive and takes a long time to get parts from the Czech Republic. The only positive thing I can say for Altros is they answer emails and will work with you on diagnosing a problem. The best advise I can give you is buy from a company that has a USA service center.
