Whats the longest shot youve ever taken and with which airgun

Buddy of mine using about the exact same setup and speeds and same ZAN pushed his to 350yds on 6" steel i think and they group!
That rifle was SMOOTH and shot! I would have stretched it further but 265 is the max range I had available at that time.

Oddly enough it will go further. Odd that he is running the same platform, slugs and speeds lol. I guess that combo works! Crazy a 30gr projectile is accurate that long!!
I did have mine equipped with the HUMA High Pressure reg as well, I think that made a world of difference. It was a heavy girl too at 14 pounds scoped.

55 yards.
All of them except the pistols and BB guns.
There is a clown on YouTube claiming a .25 pellet at a mile.
From on top of a mountain, I suspect.

My son routinely COMPETES at a measured mile with his .300 Winchester.
They shoot from atop a small mountain into the valley.

Gravity is a constant, you know?
The pellet/slug begins to drop immediately after exiting the barrel.

Well you do have to shoot UP a lot to get anywhere with a airgun, looking at some people shooting far their rifle are pointing up at a 30 - 40 degree angle.
So when their shot are half way it also got to be up high a lot.
So at its peak a shot i assume are several 100 yards up in the air, so i assume with a accurate compass and map you could shoot at a target you can not see cuz it is on the other side of a hill.

I suppose some kind of math could tell such things, but i am not a artillery / mortar man, or in any way strong in math

I think it is safe to say that what ever trajectory we are used to shooting our kind of long is pretty much flat VS what the really long shooters do.
Also why i feel that airgun ELR is to a large degree more like basketball that shooting, CUZ you are really arcing that " ball " in there.

I also think at some point there is no distance return in your firering elevation, but this probably depending on a range of factors beside speed and weight of projectile. BC being one of them, but i have a feeling there are others.

I have been wondering why no one have been " shooting the unseen "
With the high peak of a airgun shot, i suppose you could sent your spotter to a top of a hill, up there with a strait ruler he could point at you, and change 180 and look the other way along the strait ruler and find a place on the ground where he can put the target.

Then using math and angles, you should be able to hit the target you can not see, if you know the distance in between you and the target ( assuming both at same elevation )
Your friend could sit on far side of hill with his back to a tree and act like spotter and " walk " you into the target, assuming it is dirt back there and he can see the impacts of your shots.

A good exercise in team building between sniper and spotter.

What's the furthest shot you ever hit on target. Could be a target or a animal. I only use sub 12ftlb air rifles so don't see the true power and potential of these air rifles and air guns. Maybe the uk guys using FAC air rifles and USA guys using your unlimited power & anyone else can tell me what the longest shots you've ever taken and your favourite rifles to use. Springer or pcp or co2.
I hope you mean every day type shots , something routinely done ,not setting up and shooting a basically one time endeavor , those are just for fun with not any meaningful conclusion .
